At least Lesser Heal will have something to do on turn 2.
This was honestly my first thought when I saw this card (I don't play much zoo).
This is THE exact effect I hoped to see in this expansion after they released a bunch of Heal Paladin cards in Kobolds and Witchwood. I was thinking about if a legendary existed with this effect but for 10 or 15 health/armor... but breaking it up into two 1 mana 1/3s is just as good for the archetype I think without making it absolutely busted with Warrior either.
This also lets Odd Priest get value from their hero power on turn 2, which is one of the bigger obstacles I encountered while trying to make that deck work.
An interesting thing to note is this does nothing if you already have 5 or more armor. It's just a 1 mana 1/3 in those cases, so keep that in mind.
Ok so this is a 1 Mana 1/3 - 4 Stats on a 1 drop are usually really impactful.
The effect trades health for armor, but only if you have no armor!
Classes with heals can profit off this, otherwise this is a 1 drop with premium stats that doesn't do anything.
Like Dire Mole, which sees play in aggressive decks.
Most slow decks without heal (not armorgain!) do not need this, they often can't even fit 1-drops at all.
Maybe Healadin runs this to deal damage to themselves for heal synergy? Hmmm.
I have been asking for this card since Naxxramus. The main reason why early healing is so ineffective is because most combo and control decks don't damage you until they plan yo kill you, so your healing mechanics don't help. This card lets you subvert this issue, gaining armor while opening up an opportunity for you to heal. Even better, this is attached to decent vanilla stats.
We are going to see this in Warlock (self-damage with the actual damage), warrior (battle rage + armor synergy), priest (to empower healing), paladin (same as priest), and Shudderwock shaman (more sustain).
Gets warrior hurt for Battle Rage and they like armour, upgrade warlock spellstone, if you’re immune it’s free armour, it’s a 1 mana 1/3 so it’s got ok stats... it’s good
