This works with Living Mana? If a Treant dies you get a full Mana Crystal instead of an empty one?
Aaand ? His question is still legit
Seeing how Mana Treants give you empty mana crystals when they die and you can't exceed 10 mana in your tray. If you are on turn 6 and played Living Mana last turn so you have 5 mana treants on your board and 1 mana.
Play Floop's Glorious Gloop, then kill your treants you'd have 6 empty mana crystals (your 5 treants + the 1 used to cast Gloop) and at least 5 of them would now be full. Maybe more depending on if you killed any of your opponent's minions.
That's my guess anyway. Hearthstone has some weird inconsistencies so something else could happen.
To tell you the truth, this card is INCREDIBLY underwhelming. This is one of those niche cards that will only be useful against one or two decks before getting decimated by stronger decks.
The problem here is that only Rogue has worse AOEs, and if your are up against anything but a token deck, your ass is grass. Only Swipe is used religiously by Druids, with Starfall being this spell many Druids overlook and often never use. In most cases against any non-aggro deck, you'll only get like 3-4 mana off of this. Druid has to go out of their way to destroy minions, and with the exception of Poison Seeds, they lack any substantial hard removal.
Only Juicy Psychmelon stands out for me, because to be quite honest, I see the weakness of all of the Druid cards in the set. I have no idea how viable the Treant subtheme will be, Gloopsprayer is only viable with big minions on your board, Florist gets killed the next turn by your opponent, and Floop's viability is going to be tested because it's one of those hand-holder cards that instantly loses value if your first fat minion bites the dust - plus we don't know if his ability is affected by something like Polymorph Potion (as in it becomes a Sheep instead of the minion you played).
This is not a card for Token Druid. If you have a wide board, just cast Savage Roar or Branching Paths or Power of the Wild and go face. Token Druid doesn't need middle-man to win when it has a giant hammer already.
Even for Malygos Druid, this is a questionable tech option against go wide aggro, when this card and Swipe on average just refunds you whatever you used for the Swipe.
Don't even think about Token x Big Druid. A deck that lack focus usually fall flat and get ousted by the meta.
That's what i exactly had thought! this card is paradoxical!
To get the value out of this card you need to put in a deck which can't get a value out of this card
Turn 5 OTK if there is a big board. You used Juicy Psychmelon on turn 4. Then use this with Poison Seeds for 10 mana. Do your OTK
Man, I sure hope I can play 7, 8, 9, and 10-cost card all in the same turn, with only just 10 mana.
Easy to do, remember it's wild (Poison Seeds).. Kun, Aviana and 2 more minions..
The end is comming
I think this card is a perfect card for a Druid token deck, with the other cards to support this archetype, I think this deck might actually be reaally fucking good. If you are behind on the board though..... might not be that useful after all.
If you go 2nd playing against Odd paladin and you play Wild Growth on 2, then there is a good chance your opponent has a board full of 1-1s when you play your turn 3 where you have 4 mana. Then you play Wild Pyromancer for 2 and then you play Gloop which gives you 7 mana back so you are now at 8 mana, then you use your coin which kills the Pyro and you are at 10 mana and you can play a turn 3 UI or even better perhaps Master Oakheart. That would also give you some margin if your opponent wasn't maxed out on 7 1/1s.
I sense Paladin tears.
I honestly don't think this card is going to be that scary simply because the card requires you to have a lot of early game stuff to be able to capitalize on it in a polarizing way, but then also something big to ramp/whatever you'd call this into. The card does lend itself to be used in a more controlling decks with board clears and all that jazz, but I don't feel like it would really be that busted in a deck like that simply because it can't capitalize on it enough. Looks interesting though and can definitely become problematic if some deck comes to take advantage of the card.
Welcome to The Druidsday Project
It would be pretty good already if the effect only applied to friendly minions that died, but this apply to ANY minions. Playing this and then clearing the board with Swipe or Starfall could replenish a large amount of mana for that turn. Considering Druids have a way to make Malygos pretty cheap, this could setup some really strong turns.
Turn one play 2 wisps
turn 2 play this
Kappa
That's quite amazing because there are many ways for druid to actually use the effect.
Good for token decks, large board clears, and for summoning powerful minions or akwardly costed tech cards. Useful, and open to experimentation for the best combos.
