I had a feeling the moment I read a thread about how crap she was going to be - That's going to be my golden.
Dust it for 1600 and craft yourself the legendary you want most?
she's not even thicc
I guess its not. It says:
With this update, card copies will retain enchantments in the following scenarios.
There nothing about from play to deck neither from play to hand (which are pretty similar). Only from play to play. So I guess it is not keeping it. Coz if it would, it would also keep enchantments on minion after you sap it. And I don't believe it is. Coz if i would, it would be pretty insane. Imagine you cast two coldblood on Leeroy and shuffle 3 copies of it into your deck. And then drop Minstrel
Now, after the final reveal stream, it seems clear that Dr. Morrigan doesn't synergize with the other class cards - most require battlecries or specific hand states to gain value, and pulling a card out of your deck for 8 mana isn't worth much very often, even if you get another 5/5 later. That said, I don't want totally disregard this. Rin, the First Disciple was considered trash, and she turned out to be very relevant for control mirror matches.
We can only hope that the other warlock cards in this expansion can support her.
Could be interesting with copy minion effects. With its cost though I am not sure.
It's pretty decent in Midrange Quest Warlock. Just discard it, resummon it with Cruel Dinomancer and you will have a very sticky 5/5 that just won't go away. And if you already have a board, it's still a sticky card that can be a real problem for Control decks to deal with. I can see it in a Discard Warlock like this:
With the End of Turn Package you benefit from a lot of on board effects the opponent has to deal with and lots of synergy: The Soularium, Nether Portal, Despicable Dreadlord (vs. Aggro) or Cobalt Scalebane (vs. Control), The Lich King etc. Deathwing can be swapped with Lord Jaraxxus if you face more aggro. Both are midrangy pressurising cards.
Gonna try it :)
Oh and furhtermore it synergizes wonderfully with Cataclysm. It just won't die like your portal :D
Honest card text:
Battlecry: Swap this from your collection with 400 dust.
Absolutely busted.
If you dark pact this you can get a Malygos out for only 9 mana.
This I guess helps you on fatigue and has bigger body than lacky. But you don't really play lacky for the body.
Also, this will pull any minion so it's not just demons it might pull librarian, it might pull cube, it might pull lackey, you get the idea.
What big tempo swing is worth paying 8-mana for ahead of time? What does this want to draw?
...I don't get it. This is basically a worse version of Possessed Lackey which was meant to draw big demons with high costs like Doomsayer and Voidlord. For 8 mana and sub-par stats there's really no benefit to playing this card to keep your board full, especially if this gets silenced.
Rather than a demon or eight cost minion, any thing goes. It's susceptible to silence and relatively balanced in comparison to most RNG cards that are out of control or useless on their high and low end effects respectively. It also doesn't quite synergize with deathrattle effects past N'zoth since it removes itself from the field like Malorne, refilling your deck in a sense.
It might not quite be something incredible, but this is still pretty innovative. It be cool.
I think everyone who even bothers playing control pali these days can't resist playing Lynessa even tho she's not op..
For you to even pull off that “Knife Juggler” combo with this card, you’ll either have to have all spells (which Warlock does not have a lot of good spells and you might have to put trash like Sacrificial Pact), or your last card in your deck has to be Dr. Morrigan. If you do not have a Knife Juggler and you pull off that combo, the animation will go on forever and the game will exceed the time limit, resulting in both players dying inevitably. On its own, this card is literal trash. I would hate to get this card off my free login legendary or my guaranteed one within 20 packs. Why I hate this card? You’re probably never going to draw all of your small minions, so if Morrigan dies, you’ll probably pull out a Flame Imp or something like that. The warlock’s legendary spell doesn’t even work with this card because that is literally a Zoolock card. If you use this card in a Zoolock deck, you’ll end up getting trash. The only way I can see this card being viable is if it were 6 or 5 mana. But 8 for this trash ability and stats? No thank you. Like damn, the ratings on Morrigan are mostly “Bad” and “Dust it!”. Don’t take my word for it, look at the other comments and when Boomsday Project gets released. And to be honest, neither of the Warlock legendaries fit in my deck. This card is literally as bad as Zavas.
TL;DR: Card is literally a massive disappointment. Don’t craft it. Blizzard going back to what they were doing a few years back, giving Warlock terrible cards.
A class with 3+ very successful archetypes can afford to have some niche legendary cards. This might get tech-ed into some decks when silence isn't seeing a lot of play. Still a 2/5 card IMHO. I can't see any place this would fit ATM
how warlock gain popularity: don't ask me but read the comment in warlocks card thread from the previous expansion
lemme get the example: Possessed Lackey, Voidlord, Skull of the Man'ari and Bloodreaver Gul'dan
People said Possessed Lackey and Skull of the Man'ari was bad too before they were released. Then they became the cores of one of the most powerful decks out there. I'm not gonna immediately write something off as terrible this time.
Now you see, I love this, because if you Baleful Banker it you could, in theory, have a nearly immortal 5/5 or at least some fatigue protection. People see this as bad, but I see the fun
