Not sure about Psychic Scream... elekk would exit play, so will it's effect trigger then?

It would not as the elekk is no longer in play.

It's funny that this text states "meme card" but it can try to be really good deck.

If you Emperor Thaurissan into Brann Bronzebeard  + Augmented Elekk  + Augmented Elekk + Lab Recruiter + Lab Recruiter + Gang Up + Gang Up you can get either 48 or 60 (depending on how the interaction of Augmented Elekk works) copy's of a card in your deck. 

Will the extra copies of the Academic Espionage still be 1, or will it be reset to the original mana cost?

I honestly believe they will go to there original mana cost. The 1 mana cost is specifically from Academic Espionage. Augmented Elekk will most likely just be programmed with base copies rather than modified.
