Has potential, but right now there is not enough treant synergy for this minion to be viable, we have to see the other cards to be sure.
So we're getting cards dedicated to Treants now? Cool I guess... I mean an 8/8 with rush is nothing to sneeze at regardless so it'll probably see play and all of these Treants might put some life back into Token Druid, who knows?
I don't see this needing a dedicated Treant deck to work. Play Living Mana on curve and this is a 5 Mana 8/8 Rush.
Token Druid could very well run 2 copies of Soul of the Forest and Living Mana, possibly throwing in Landscaping, and make Mulchmucher very cheap very quickly.
interestingly, Living Mana doesnt specify that those 2/2 are treants, just minions. tho minions themselves are named mana treants.

My prediction for that is that you would only gain one 14/12 lifesteal, rush, divineshield, taunt minion amd one 8/8 minion. My reasoning is that Ixlid copies summoned always spawn right side of the original minion, so you can't position Zilliax and Mulchmuncher in a way that both Munchers get their own Zilliax and either first Zilliax first magnetizes with second Zilliax, and second then with first Mulcher, or second Zilliax first magnetizes with Mulcher, then first follows it and goes in the same mulcher.
Either way, second mulcher never gets magnetized with.
Hand Druid is shaping in the shadows
This card is probably the sole reason to play a Treant Druid. It'll all depend on how consistently this can be brought down to an unfair mana cost, so I'd recommend everyone reserve judgement on this in particular until all the druid cards are revealed.
This and zilliax could make a good combo, 5 mana 11/10 with rush, lifesteal, divine shield and taunt

I can C Y force of nature was nerfed because of this card.
It had nothing to do with Savage Roar being bonkers broken with charge minions.
You forgot about one of the most powerful cards ever created, Arcane Giant
Dryid which uses trents, and hend lock druid, hi.
I immediately thought "giant" as well. Closest to the old Frost Giant as they are both (10) 8/8 and their cost reduction only relies on past actions, not current status like board size, hand size, etc.
EDIT: While the comparison of cost and size is similar and Frost Giant wasn't too popular (that I can recall anyway), Mulch Giant should be much more playable as flooding your board with 2/2 minions seems like a much more efficient strategy than just using hero power each turn to get a low cost 8/8.
mulch giant
Also, important to note this is not just a "mulch giant", but it's way better since all actual giants are epic, this is rare, and it comes with Rush. That and cost reduction not based on past actions in the game rather than current status of hand size, health, board size, etc is also a plus.
Flavour, card art, name, it's all great, but this combination of those things being given to Druid... why does druid have a giant robot dog?
Giant robot Hyppo
Blizzard is continuing the Hand Druid architype. With Witchwood Apple you can play Mountain Giant early. In the late game, now you can play one more Giant — Mulchmuncher — for free.
Play it, copy with Splintergraft, play it again. Three 8/8 on board ;-)
