I guess it would help to think of this card like a mirror, that tilts and reflects back what is seen. It does make me wonder if any kind of infinite loop bugs could occur, but I cannot see that as possible yet.

opponent turn > Chameleos now has a chance to copy a card twice, that is to say it could point to your Chameleos or the card his Chameleos copied earlier (if I got all my wording right)
This card looks pretty fun, but overall it's another card that looks strong, but isn't.
The idea of knowledge is power is true for the most part in Hearthstone, know what your opponent has, know how to play against it, win the game, easy peasy. This card aims at helping you do that. Here is the first issue with the card. It only swaps at the beginning of your turn. If you draw into it, it's just a 1/1 cute beast. Next turn you go and get a decent minion/spell though, which comes the second issue with the card. Unless it's a match up where the opponent is just running good stuff, plenty of times you'll have this card turn into a combo card, which since your deck isn't supposed to use it normally, chances are you can't use it to it's normal extent.
Let's say you are going more for trying to figure out what your opponents hand is. This card never specifies whether it'll turn into a different card in the opponents hand or not, so it may just be stuck in your hand giving you the same minion/spell. This can mean two things, either you're unlucky or your opponent has two of the copies of the card, misleading you. Even if you do find out your opponent has some scary card, like a N'zoth, what are you going to do about it? Sure you can save some removal for it, but it's not like you can actually disrupt the card unless you're running a control list with stuff like Dirty Rat. Finding out your opponent has a lot of burn doesn't help you prevent that burn. Sure you can map out your opponents entire hand, but the card does literally nothing to help prevent against it.
I like this card, don't get me wrong. It's an interesting way for blizzard to make the game more interactive for both players, but this just isn't going to work in the game.
Still though, the observational power of the card could help you plan for one thing or another or at least provide you a power card you like later, or it could hit a class card that doesn't help you out at all like mage's card to play 1 of every secret in your deck. So it could be bad, could be awesome, which fits the normal design of any card, especially legendary cards.
One side effect is that it could copy the same card twice, and you wouldn't know if that's the second copy of a card they have or the same copy.
Being able to deduce whats in your opponents hand is good when it is cantripped or lets you do some form of disruption with it, hence why cards like Thoughtseize is played while Telepath isn't (MTG). This card doesn't do either of those, costing a draw in your hand at the cost of being able to slowly deduce what could be in your opponents hand. Sure you can go and have Chameleos become Defile or some threatening card, and help you play around it, but that only adds to the variance of the card. Cards with high variance tend to be either really bad, like Servant of Yogg Saron, or incredibly strong like Barnes, all depending on what the ability is. Having this in your mulliganed hand is like having a quest with no actual impact in the long run of the game as against most decks, you tend to know what they are going to try and do. Facing against a cubelock? Try to disrupt there Possessed Lackey. Facing a paladin? Hard mulligan for removal. A card like this is somewhat better if you don't know what deck your playing against is, but chances are, the deck is going to be whatever tier 1 archetype your opponent has.
My biggest issue with this card is that it's unreliable and wastes a card draw. The largest reasons why quests were for the most part, bad, was because it took a draw. Sure they also wasted a turn 1 play, but in most decks (except the hunter, shaman, and mage I guess) you didn't run any 1 drops. Knowledge is great and all in a card game, but everything this card does you can just deduce from knowing the opponents deck.
Can if shift into a shifting scroll? And if so, does it shifts immediately into another spell, therefore doubleshifting?
I don't think it does, it only turns into Shifting Scroll. Next turn it would turn into something else.
Nope Shifting Scroll, this card, and every other card with the same effect happen at the beginning of your turn and if you get one then it will just stay that spell/weapon/minion instead of changing again.
I love this card.

I love it. However I'm sad at once, since I dislike priest and warrior. It would be hard for me to use such a my style card, while it's not in my class
