Shaman is the only class (along with warrior kinda) who got a deathknight that provides no real long game value. shaman's hero card now is basically only used for the battlecry and to combo with cards like dopplegangster. and since now in the new rotation most evolve cards and synergies are rotating out so shaman's DK is gonna be pretty damn useless, so they decided to give shaman an actual way to compete in the value game alongside cards like bloodreaver guldan or valeera the hollow
Shaman got new DK because Evolve, Doppelgangster and cards like that are rotating, so old DK is kinda useless.
Pushing the echo.
Can anyone explain to me the logic of this being the only "DK" of this expansion?
That's not the expansion's theme, however, Hagatha seems to be important in the lore (I know nothing of WoW) and they decided that she deserves to be a card in this expansion.
thrall has great late game value with the hero power taking value trades.
Seems stupid to give shaman a new identity through rng spells instead of strengthen one of the current failed mechanics. Besides, random generated spells is one of mages more iconic characteristics, making this card not only feel old already, but also like not even a shaman card. And lets face it, does the game really need more rng? Cmon, Blizzard.
This card is terrible and will not see play.
Ok, here are reasons why this card will be bad.
1) Shaman sucks in Standard. 1 Expansion ain’t gonna save Shaman from the trash-tier it occupies currently.
2) This card is an 8 mana Hellfire. Paying 8 mana to damage your own board is pretty terrible. By Turn 8 you have either lost to aggro and midrange decks, or you are in the process of losing to Cubelock or Dragon Priest, who are strong in the late-game, and dealing 3 damage won’t save you.
3). The hero power is not strong enough. Random Shaman spells are pretty bad. By Turn 8 you’ve probably played your hand anyways so you won’t get many spells regardless.
The value power of this card is pretty good, it might fit in some control deck, hope it does
If this card weighs as much as a duck...then it must be...
This is definitely not for aggro, too slow. Taking a turn off wiping your own board and drawing nothing but future promises is too slow.
Not for control. Shaman control wants to play lots of spells and that will significantly limit the impact of this card.
This only fits in midrange, and more specifically totem midrange. You need enough minions to play this, but can't win by slow. Instead, this seems like the type of card you use to try to get a big bloodlust turn.
This is a tough card to fit into a shaman deck, but if it does fit, it will be one of those cards where if you draw it at the right moment, it will win the game on it's own. So, it makes shaman even more RNG
This card has interesting synergy/anti-synergy with Unite the Murlocs. Complete the quest, refill your hand with Megafin, then blow up your board with Hagatha, but refill your hand with juicy spells while you're rebuilding the board.
Yeah you might wanna wait till after playing a few murlocs so you don't burn cards.
That said, both cards couldn't work in the same deck using Baku or Genn since it's either even or odd. Not every deck needs one of those cards to be a good deck of course.
Trash goes well with garbage. Quest Shaman is terrible and so is this card.
Can someone please put her hero power ON the page.
