Was waiting for Genn to show up in Hearthstone. Honestly, I was counting for him to be Rogue legendary with some cool mechanic.... It might be cool to see what will he bring to the table though. Adding Greymane to any Blizzard game is always great idea.
I want to play this with Coldarra Drake and Fallen Hero :)
Maybe throw a Justicar Trueheart in there too?
TGT FTW
tgt is my fav set for sure.
However, adding Justicar may not work because I think Genn's effect will stop if you change your starting hero power.
They should've made Greymane the new druid hero skin. Would've been a perfect time for it too. We have enough night elf female avatars in the game and no worgens, and there will probably be no worgens.
says start of game .. so yes it's a permanent change just meet the requirements
.
I can see him being played mostly in paladin(doesn't even lose too much), warlock(handlock) and hunter(face)
since those decks ALREADY don't use too many odd cards anyway and they would really benefit from a cheaper hero power.
they will do just hero power, drop 2, drop 2+ hero power and depending on the hero power it might be a pain in the ezz
Going off a hunch, I said on Baku that Priest, Paladin, Shaman and Warrior would like him better, so I'm ready to argue that Hunter, Mage, Warlock, and Druid will like Genn better.
Warlock: With the amount of healing Warlock has, it doesn't care about upgrading it's Hero power to take less damage. What it wants to do is cost less so you can cast the card you drew more reliably. I could see a demonlock come out of this since while you can't use Dark Pact, you can still use Sacrificial Pact + Lesser Amethyst Spellstone.
Hunter: Secrets, Savannah Highmane, and Kathrena Winterwisp. That's enough to start a deck right there, and dealing 2 damage a turn is going to present a very, very real clock on top of what else Hunter has access to in this expansion.
Mage: Kind of hard to do this one since it would mean no secrets, but most of the Elemental Matters cards are even.
Druid: Only loses Malfurion the Pestilent and Nourish. A great value card is easy to come by (The Lich King for one), and you could substitute Branching Paths for Nourish.
Rogue kind of gets left out, since they don't want to upgrade their hero power or make it cheaper as long as Kingsbane is around. Though considering that a lot of the power cards for Rogue are even, you'd probably lean more towards Genn.
Opening a pack and getting Greymane is gonna feel like opening a newspaper and finding a coupon; 50% off your deck options and hero power's cost.
Interesting gimmack but Genn should have gotten something better.
The word S T A R T I N G just killed the card
ProbablyCertainly too much ambition, mulligan for Jaina (wouldn't be in the deck?), ping on turn 10 with 1 mana hero power.Frost Lich Jaina is a 9 cost anyway. Wouldn't be in the deck.
If you have a quest in your deck, it's odd cost thus negating the effect. But it's always in your opening hand, would the effect still go off or is it negated? I'd assume negated but, better to wait for it to be tested.
Well, this will either be the king of gimmicks (along with Baku the Mooneater or it will be meta.
I look forward to either.
