Believes in a thing called love?
this...this isn't working.
You have to draw ALL THREE candles to wake him up 😈😵
Maybe it fits some weird mill decks 💪👅

Razakus Haters: HAHA THIS IS DEFINITELY A COUNTER TO RAZAKUS
I mean, seriously guys, one does not need Kazakus or Raza to make this deck, the biggest and most important card is Shadowreaper Anduin, which of course, hard counters this. So what that you put three cards in this deck? You do know that Razakus has a strong card draw, right? So now you've put a *minor* inconvenience into their deck, one that will help activate Lyra, get a cost reduction from Radiant Elemental, and draw a card for you, in order to help burn through all the useless drivel anyways. So GG, you just made Razakus even stronger by making idiots think this card is actually good. Thanks Blizzard
-Sincerely, a Razakus player
How do you Shadow Word: Pain a 20/20?
Heres an interesting way to make The Darkness work:
Turn 9 play Valeera Deathknight
Turn 10 Play 2 copies of The Darkness from passive hero power, which adds 6 candles to opponents deck.
You only need to draw 3 of the candles, and once you do: you have TWO 20/20 minions on board. Not too bad I'd say. :)
After you draw 3, what will happen to the other 3 LOL?
they just stay in the other persons deck... u only need 3 for any of the minions on the board
Nothing happens to the other 3. They stay in the deck.
It's dormant and useless because of the lost battlecry

Before the release,
Control deck: Hurray I dirty ratted out the Razapriest's Raza!
After the release,
Razapriests: Hurray I dirty ratted out the opponent's The Darkness!
I believe it is based on a rare mob in Highmountain called 'Devouring Darkness' which is in a Kobold inhabited cave. There, you need to snuff out the candles to summon it.
Imagine playing it as a DK Valeera. You double up on the Darknesses, your opponent doubles up on chances to draw 3 candles, and in the end you get 2× 20/20, wich is pretty sick for an 8 mana play.
This card is arguably the best card of this expansion. It single-handedly destroys raza priest, and there are no other cards that just straight up counter raza like this besides beneath the grounds and the new fal'dorei strider that was released this expansion. This card is by far the best tech card of the expansion, I mean it straight up shits on the best deck in hearthstone right now. Best part is that raza priest gets punished for drawing cards because they can awaken the darkness. I fucking hate raza bullshit priest and am so happy blizzard releases a card that shits on that deck. The only downside to all of this is that you will see almost all tempo decks, such as keleseth tempo rogue, running this card. This card + two oozes will obviously be the early meta of this new expansion. Personally, I think tempo rogue is going to be the best deck of this early expansion because they have fal'dorei strider which is essentially better than the darkness because you instantly get a 4/4 body. Definetly tempo rogue is running at least one fal'dorei strider, and possibly the darkness or a second strider. It's looking like tempo rogue is even scarier and everything is going to fall somewhere below keleseth tempo rogue in terms of power level, in the expansion released tomorrow.
x2
how does this counter razakus priest at all? It dies to death and anduin. They wouldn't even need to try to kill it because it'd just passively die to anduin who they were going to play as soon as possible anyway.
Anduin isn't useless without Raza, he's actually still pretty good. But with Raza he's broken.
