This value is bonkers! Unbuffed 1 mana 1/3 is totally playable in rogue, let alone that deathrattle. Kind of a quest in and of itself to see how big you can make it.
In DK form, you can always pop 2 of these in a row to cycle another copy in for near-infinite value...crazy card!
Finally a weapon worthy enough that Blade Flurry had to die for it.
Did anyone take two seconds to realize that nobody plays weapon buffs these days? If there were good weapon buffs (such as oil) that you already wanted to put in your deck, I'd be a lot more impressed by this. As it stands, do you really want to run trash like leeching poison just for this? What happens when this is at the bottom of your deck? Generally if you're going to shape a deck around one card, that card should win you the game. Even if you buff this a bunch of times, it certainly does not end the game on its own.
I'd rather see weapon buffs that are good in and of themselves, instead of this. I really hope they have not been balancing around this card, which will probably see no play.
just running 2 deadly poisons is enough to make this 1-mana-infinite-ash-bringer-never-fatigue-tool
Well we have the rogue DK too, which can be used to double buff it with single poison in the late game if we've already spent our first one, not to mention that having access to the 1 1++\3 weapon (basically upgraded hero power) while in DK is quite good.
Seems like a cool/neat design to get around the traditional downside to weapon buffs in rogue, that they typically last at most 2 charges (hero power).
No doubt: Meta-defining!
Okay so rogue might want to play minion that gives the weapon back to it's hand. It looks really cool on paper.
what happens when you use Doomerang on it?
Does it just go back into your deck rather than into your hand?
Probably both? No way to be sure without testing though.
I could be wrong but I do not think that Doomerang kills the weapon. I think it is sort of like Shadowstep but for weapons. That said I won't claim to know as I have never used it due to it's high rarity in a class I'm unfamiliar with.
Any way to tutor this into your hand?
pull Forge of Souls from Swashburglar????
only thing i can think of from the top of my head and it only works in one matchup
Miracle rogue is how :) lol will be interesting to see if it's worth using with Rummaging Kobold as you can then have multiple copies of the weapon in your deck once you've used it meaning easier to draw it again
So does it mean you will get 2 extra copy if you play both Rummaging Kobold? And will them be 1/3 or with buff?
Definitely worth a try! Something I'll definitely be doing if I get this weapon :)
