If you silence this minion, it shouldn’t be able to attack no matter what because of what the text says right? WRONG! If you silence it, it can still attack wtf.
Nope. That's not how it works. The description of silence is: Silence is an ability which removes all current card text, enchantments, and abilities from the targeted minion. It does not remove damage or minion type. Since the card text of Ironwood Golem reads: Can only attack if you have 3 or more armor. It would mean that that text is ignored, since it is 'removed'. Making it a normal minion which can attack normaly regardless of how much armor you have (it would also remove taunt). Hope that clears it up for you.
Just throw this card with oaken summons on jade druid and you are good to go :Y
This card is disgustingly good and I'm sorry that many of you feel otherwise.
This gives a nice target for Master Oakheart, giving you a lategame taunt - if you think if it as slightly worse than 8/11 stats for 9 then it's average but if it pulls say Crypt Lord as well that's not a bad result to give the opponent a wall to work through.
Forget all that though because you all forgot about the interaction with Grizzled Guardian.
It's also easy to play off of Ixlid, Fungal Lord
or you could just play Sen'jin Shieldmasta and get to attack whenever you want.
Or you could play some aggro deck if you're so desperate to attack with everything.
The fact that this is not an auto include in all incarnations of Druid doesn't make it bad, as you infer.
Really wish it has 4 attack. I mean the stats are fine in a vacuum, its just priest is just so prominent in the meta
there is no way this ever gets played in any deck, i never say dust it, but dust that one
Not sure why all the bad reviews, this is a pretty playable card. Really good in arena where removal is hard to come by. The only reason it's not as amazing in constructed is because you can't make value trades with it all the time. I still think this will make it into any deck that you would consider putting Geosculptor Yip in.
Geosculptor Yip is a warrior card, this is a druid card. I seriously doubt this will be put in a deck with Geosculptor Yip.
Oh my bad.. damn this card is awful then lol
I dont get you people. 3/6 taunt for 4 mana is not bad, especially against aggro. Yeah it can't attack without 3 armor, but 3 armor ain't that hard to get, and not hard to keep with, well, taunts like this. Plus, if you play control or defensively, do you need to always attack with taunts?
...Oh right, I forgot, its not jade's card. 0/10, burn it to dust, worst card worldwide.
Haha jokes on you it IS a jade card . Jade druid needs this card with oaken summons for both deck thining and defensive options for the early game ( also druids really like anything proactive to be played on turn 4 because of how ramping works) 9/10
+5 dust
Why?
Worse Saronite Chain Gang
...no.
people are underestimating the power of this card. "It's just shield masta with +1 HP." The 1 hp is a HUGE deal. It's the reason why Twilight Guardian was such a pain to go against. Most removal one would use to kill a 4 drop effectively deals 5 exactly. Like Shadow Strike and etc. As well as the minions that would trade into it. Normally a 3 5 taunt is easily killed by trading 1 3 2 minion in and dealing 2 damage with a weapon, mini spell, tokens, but on turn 4, it's really difficult to do 6 damage on curve effectively. Using a card like Fireball just trades card for card and takes up an entire turn, (not to mention has a lot more potential and wasted on removal). 6 hp with 3 attack can be devastating vs aggressive decks because it eats 2 3s too, and it doesn't matter that it can't attack back in druid, because druid almost always wins in the late game anyway, so applying pressure is irrelevent on turn 4
Argent Watchman can only attack after you use your Hero Power
Silithid Swarmer can only attack after your Hero attacks
Ironwood Golem can only attack if you have Armor

maybe if it had "can't be target by spells and hero power" in addition the drawback it would make more sense.
