This is going to be a tech card in some control decks I believe. Like you're only going to run one if you even run it like Geist. Returning Atiesh (the weapon Medievh summons), or a legendary class weapon could be a game changer.
We won't see the potential of this card until we see the rest of the legendary weapons, but it looks like a decent one of in many decks.
P.S: That massive chin though.
This is so good. Getting a 2nd Atiesh back from Medivh, the Guardian is going to be sweet.
I can't see you wanting the new weapons so bad that you'll put this card in your deck to be a worthless drop you have to hold onto until you get your 1 weapon that your class has. In a weapon oriented class, this might be okay. Like more jades for shaman. Paly will probably like this (Tirion and it's DK yield great weapons). I can see it being good with Madivh though so maybe if the non-weapon classes run Madivh and their weapon you might want this.
I'm also not sure this is exactly the counter to Oozes that we're looking for. If an ooze breaks your weapon and you lose your tempo because you spent your turn placing a weapon you can't attack with or doesn't do damage worth the mana cost, you still lost your tempo even if you get that weapon back later. So the runespear is still looking pretty bad. Your other big expensive weapons will still probably not see a lot of play. Dragonsoul is cheap enough to not care especially and if you hold on to it till you can combo then fine. Mage legendary has an end-of-turn effect. and the twig wants you to destroy it (lets not talk about the consistency of drawing that thing by turn 4 or the late game combos people theorized). So these will probably see play regardless of oozes (or oozes won't effect if they get played or not much), but the more expensive weapons with no immediate payoff valued at it's mana cost will still struggle and won't be viable inclusions. Some of these DK that yield weapons might have a hard time in an ooze meta we'll definitely have for at a few weeks.
I'm excited for the warrior legendary weapon tho. Imagine using your weapon draw to have a high likely hood of getting it consistently and then when it gets oozed or even just used up normally, you get it back and keep the pressure on with it. That and the DK weapon as your only weapons might be pretty crazy. We'll see.
F*ck off with the pirate warrior :P.
Did you destroy a golden axe... or was it a silver one?
How do you like your 1/1 totems?
Call him Museum Robber.
We needed some weapon support, and I'm sure there more coming but I just wish it had one more attack so it could kill an ooze
Sorta weird that this card wouldn't be good in rogue since it might return their hero power weapon, so I'm sad about that.
Should be at least a 2/3 so the body isn't worthless. As is, I can't imagine this being in any deck unless a Legendary or token weapon is the deck's only strategy.
combos well with Medivh and Tirion
This is sick for the non-weapon classes with the new legendary weapon, and pretty decent for the weapon classes.
definitely will see play in decks where the legendary weapon, or Atiesh is the only weapon.
Good for some warrior decks and possibly great for some of the other classes depending on these legendary weaps.
Great value for control vs control matches but it's a crappy body that doesn't impact the board so it's pretty bad against aggro.
