That's because it can't afford to loose too much tempo with duskbreaker that's no longer a problem. It literally takes out the one problem dragon priest had and leaves a body.
This card is insane... Priest getting all the nice toys lately. Its so good even Razza priest will have to play it.
Duskbreaker? More like Aggrobreaker. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hugely overrated card, in a vacuum its very strong, but priests only really strong deck is highlander and big priest, both of which use no dragons and would never play this card, if you put this in a actual midrange dragon deck its going to go against the purpose of your deck which is to build a board because this card damages other dragons
This card will only fit in some kind of weird slow dragon midrange deck and have no place in any other deck, at best this will create a new tier 2 dragon midrange deck that is easily beaten by other tier 1 decks
Dragon Priest has been always a really strong deck that controlled the board, which was less used in this meta in high ranks because of all these massive Tempo/Big deck, and Big/Highlander priests have a lot more of cleaning for those Tier 1 decks, and now there is this card which is stupidly good against aggro + Dragonfire Potion, and also gives you a bit of pressure in the board, and dont say that is bad because it hurts your other minions because Dragon Priest is not aggro, it has his powerspike at turn 6 or 7 and is almost impossible to not to clean everything with 2 copies of this crap, not to say that we have Primordial Drake just as a badass destroyer of boards that also keeps the pressure.
At my first glance I thought it's name was "dustbreaker."
Then somehow it looks like "deckbreaker."
Finally I realize this is really "metabreaker."
" Metabreaker " ... thanks Blizzard because Priest needs more awesome AOE...
It's Hellfire, but with a 3/3 body attached to it. Good for dealing with aggro decks and I like it.
How come excavated evil cost 5 mana with no body and the enemy gets the card too and this cost 4 with body and the boardclear which dont suffle into ur enemy deck?!
"If you're holding a dragon, deal 3 damage to all other minions."
Chillmaw powercreep :(
Compare to Exploding Bloatbat, 4 mana 2/1 with DEATHRATTLE deal 2 aoe damage to enemies.
This is 4 mana 3/3 with BATTLECRY deal 3 aoe damage to everything if a dragon is in hand.
Eh.
You're right, the bat is commonly regarded as trash and this is being hailed as the current best card of the set. Different leagues.
It makes me so frustrated that they did hunter so dirty yet they keep giving other classes really op cards. Giving bloatbat have some decent stats would have made control hunter a little viable.
Turn 4 Duskbreaker, Turn 5 Cobalt Scalebane, Turn 6 Dragonfire Potion. That's the scenario that I see playing out the most often. I've noticed a tendency for people to play a flurry of minions after an AoE drops. Particularly if it gets dropped on an empty board because you don't want to burn your next card draw, leaving them potentially open to the potion follow-up.
Second best card in the set. Best card is Lone Champion of course, but this guy is sweet.
good card, probably we will see dragon priest in April
and i hope it will be playable, really do not want back in 2016, when turn 2,3 heropower, turn 4 concede
How is this is a good idea, it's a huge power creep over Abyssal Enforcer, Hellfire, Unearthed Evil, Chillmaw which is a legendary. Priest has plenty good enough AOE in both wild and standard. Not to mention how bland it is with it just copy pasting this effect over and just adding dragon to the mix. This is just far too bland and brokenly strong considering a Kazakus potion with the AOE choice feels weaker than this.
COME ON MAN, EVERYONE LOVES DRAGON PRIEST! SO FUN, PLAY MINIONS ON CURVE. Yeah seriously, D. Priest was my most hated deck for like 3 expansions. The people that play it are even worse because they think for some reason that they're 'good' 'intelligent' players because they're not playing pirate warrior, only dragon priest has always been the easiest, least decision-making archetype in the game. You literally click the card that matches the mana crystal on the bottom of the screen every turn and use basic decision-making trades, and half of the people can't even do that and still win. But dragon priest fans are always complaining on the forums about "aggro decks" and they almost always BM when you face them.
