So can any other card in the game but you would still run a card like Sylvanas if you could. If the effect was a battlecry it would be extremely non-interactive for the opponent.
Can't wait to try this in my DiscardLock
Just got her for my first legendary of ten packs.. yea?
i know that feel bro
I thought it would be at least OK - then I realized that ALL the seals cost 5. Well, that's just stupid.
What this card is missing is a scaling deal damage (could be only minions)
paying 5 mana for some crappy vanilla minions for 5 turns is not worth it at all, you're going to die before Azari is going to be available.
Blizzard spelled it wrong, It should be Rin, the worst disciple
The expansion has provided tools to make this work like Vulgar Homunculus, Voidlord, Arcane Tyrant, Master Oakheart, etc and stuff from past expansions Bloodbloom, Barnes, Tar Lurker etc.
Is it all enough? I doubt it.
Would Kabal Trafficker & Bane of Doom be able to summon Azari, the Devourer?
I don't think they can summon tokens, so no.
No, because he's not collectible...
Turn 6 play Rin, the First Disciple, Turn 7 play The First Seal, turn 8 play The Second Seal, turn 9 play The Third Seal, turn 10 play The Fourth Seal and The Final Seal, turn 11 play Azari, the Devourer, turn 12 play King Togwaggle. Emote "Well Played" then concede. #thememes
they dont want you playing 3 in one turn.
It absolutely staggers the mind how ABYSMAL this card is. You have to play no less than five absolutely terrible cards (Rin herself, which then has to die without being silenced, transformed or bounced, and the first 4 seals which all summon abysmally under-stat minions) until you get to one that's even decent (a 5-mana 6/6 which isn't going to set the world on fire). By the time you get through all that CRAP, you'd actually EXPECT Azari, the Devourer's battlecry to be literally "you win the game", because it'll take so ridiculously long to get up to playing him (assuming your opponent is going to let you- literally LET YOU because there's no OTHER way you'd survive while playing those terrible seal cards) that his battlecry is completely underwhelming- they won't even have much of a deck LEFT by that time! Other CCGs have had alternate win conditions which are WAY less ridiculous that this (such as Shadowverse's Enstatued Seraph) and even those are generally considered gimmicky and not really competitively viable. Rin is BOOGEYMONSTER-level terrible. Inexcusably terrible, this is literally nothing more than the design team going "hah, fuck you Warlock players!"
You just gotta Barnes her out, run bloodblooms,
& sacrificial pact the cheaper summons to negate the health loss.
Just replying to this comment specifically to say that you hit the nail on the head, in so much that it's mind-boggling that the final card you get doesn't just win you the game. In doing so it probably shouldn't be a minion given that the body would be unnecessary, but it should've been something like a 10 mana spell called something like "the seals are broken", with the effect "destroy your opponent".
To put it another way, I actually win games off of DK Uther's four horsemen ability thanks to Beardo (basically, if you ever have two horsemen out at the start of the turn with Beardo and a cheap spell in hand, you win). It's baffling that this card which requires so much more investment doesn't even have the same payout.
Even the meme players wont be playing this card
The more cards are revealed the more playable this is starting to look like.
