I'm fairly new to this game, as I only started playing a few months ago. But I'm heavily into card and board games, even designing a few myself in the past. So I feel I have a decent knowledge of when a certain card is unbalanced. And boy, are my spider senses tingling when I see this card. There are a few clearly broken cards in the game but this is by far the worst offender I've come across.
Summoning up to seven demons at once is incredibly game changing. Especially since you get to ignore their usually harmful Battlecrys. 5 armor might save you as your opponent desperately tries to win before you take another turn. These two features make the card powerful enough. But the hero power, god, is it stupid. For the same regular cost of 2 mana, you get a 6 health swing each and every turn. Nothing else in the game compares. I think its almost always game over when this card is played.
I believe this card has been out for awhile. It seems most agree with my analysis. It saddens me that the designers have not taken steps to fix this. Balancing is an important part of any game like this. Get on it please Blizzard.
As strong as this card is, I highly doubt Blizzard will nerf it anytime soon. As of the nerf patch, Warlock is performing just about average in comparison to other classes, and for that reason, I don't think Blizzard plans to nerf this card in the near future. Let's be grateful we currently we have a pretty diverse meta, with many different decks being viable. Keep in mind though that there are other cards in the game that are also extremely powerful, a Druid ramping into a turn 6 ultimate infestation, or even fellow death knight Frost Lich Jaina are arguably just as game changing, given that they can be played earlier in the game. I agree that this is an extremely powerful card that Blizzard should consider changing in the future, but in the current moment, I don't see it happening as Warlock as a class currently isn't overperforming like it used to be.
Yes you are fairly new to this game. Every class has the op card. Shudderwork, frost lich, etc....IF they nerf this they nerf all. Learn how to counter better
Yea very true but Shudderwock alone can determine a game. You can lose with frost lich and guldan if the other player plans properly for end game
the only balanced DK of them all. everyone is broken but this one. Or is the other way around? I never know
This and N'zoth are both quite strong. :)
this should summon 1 of each demons.
that would only make it better as Voidlord's deathrattle minions tend to corrupt the pool of demons and prevent bigger ones from spawning.
Used i 75% of warlock decks
The other 25% are noobs, theorycraft, odd warlock (nevers seen them personally) and combo warlock or tavern brawl decks
Unbalanced not good
Should I disenchante zola the gorgon for bloodrever gul’dan????
If you plan on playing with warlock: Of course. If not then I see no point in dusting Zola the Gorgon
Thxxxx, i discoverd that i had worse legendaryes then her and disenchant one of them for him, and i recommand him for every warlock player, he is insanely good !!!
The battlecry for this needs a nerf badly. It's being exploited left and right in combination with N'Zoth by Cubelocks to fill the board with Voidlords repeatedly. I'd understand if the battlecry was to summon 2 random demons, but not all of them. Here is what's happening on the ladder right now: https://hsreplay.net/replay/4vDqDHjrXZ2RhAZqENGHVU
I went from almost beating the guy, to having him heal himself to full life by leeching his own minions and spawning more in the process, to having to deal with 3 waves of Voidlords (1 from initial play, 2nd from the battlecry, 3rd from N'Zoth).
Boohoo anti-aggro is ruining my aggro experience 8(
Umm... I wouldn't really call Secret Hunter an aggro build. We're not all Face Hunters bro.
yeah, sure, neverending taunts and high attack charge minions are very anti aggro.
the most unbalanced warlock card ever for sure
Favorite card and first golden craft.
