Realize that no one card is the ultimate card. Everything has a play around, you just gotta find it. For Shadowreapers, ya gotta get rid of all those low cost cards that they have, especially Raza. If not, then you gotta predict a Shadow-Raza deck and try to eliminate them early game.
I love how everyone is complaining about a combo that can actually be pretty difficult to pull off. Razakus is literally the ONE Priest deck that is even remotely valid right now, stop fucking complaining. There are bigger concerns here. Like Pirate Warrior. And Jade Druid. Maybe, it's just that this deck actually destroys those two fairly easily, and those cancerous cunts are coming here to complain. Either way, fuck off rank 20 bottomfeeders.
I mean big priest is also viable too, but Razakus priest is still great deck. This deck is sometimes really unfair to play against because of all the board clears and you can't really play around a 20 damage Prophet Velen Mind Blast combo. Priest has alot of "lower tier" decks such as purify priest and dragon priest too.
Let's get real here. Barely any of what you said right there is remotely true.
All you have to do to win the game is draw and play both Raza and the Shadowreaper. Pretty easy because the Priest as a class is stuffed to the brim with removals (shadow words, dragonfire potion, holy nova, spirit lash, auchenai/COH, pint-size/horror, shadowreaper himself, and in wild, lightbomb, entomb, excavated evil), and shadow visions can act as a second copy of any one of those, vastly improving the consistency of the deck. You just have to survive till you draw both cards (not tough because priest is a control class designed around survival), and you win from there. And if you're complaining because winning depends so much on drawing those two cards, then I really wouldn't know what else you'd expect when playing a combo deck that relies on drawing two specific cards, not much else thought required.
Check tempostorm's Meta Snapshot. Apart from Highlander Priest sitting near the top of Tier 1 in Standard and Reno Priest being at the very top of Tier 1 in Wild, there's also Big Priest in Tier 1 and Dragon Priest in Tier 2 of Standard, and likewise Combo Priest in Tier 1 and Resurrect Priest in Tier 2 of Wild. Looks like both Priest and Druid are sitting pretty right now, and the classes that actually need more help would be the control archetypes of Paladin, Warrior, and Shaman.
I'm a Renolock main (yeah, I play wild) who occasionally plays Control Paladin and am pretty damn tired of seeing priests and druids overpopulating the ladder. As a person who enjoys the long game, it's really frustrating because all that Razakus priest needs to draw his combo cards is time, and control decks provide their opponents with more than enough time to draw whatever they need. It's also not particularly enjoyable to watch a single shadowreaper play destroy the entire board I've been trying to build against endless waves of board clears and removal.
I'd personally rather have Patron Warrior back instead of this Razakus crap, at least Patron warrior had a higher skill cap and it was easier to maintain a board against it than this.
Even if it's easy to play when you draw the combo, it's still a hard deck to play without it. Having Raza and or Anduin in the bottom 5 cards means you have to find other ways to win, and I believe that is the main reason this deck is so strong as well. I tried making a version of Razakus priest without including the deathknight, and still I reached legend with it. It all comes down to how well you play. I don't see any problem in beating a Razakus deck, with a Razakus deck even if your opponent draw the combo and you don't draw it. Play well, and you'll beat that deck with almost any deck, because most people playing Razakus has no idea how to play it. Except from in high legend were people play all decks consistently well.
The light might betray him, but the concede button doesn't for me
F@#% this card. Can't wait for Raza to rotate out next year so it will be harder for them to machine gun your face down.
I don't like how well this works with Raza, its a little to strong and probably should be nerfed.
But its top tier (and an OTK deck with Velen).
Death to all who play razakus priest.
The salt of a Rank 20 Average player. I can play a shitton of spells and literally six minions and win the game against anything I come up against. But hey, fuck you, right? Get on my clearly higher level than you scrub.
Shut yall bitchass up lmfao highlander priests fall hard to hunters and druids and virtually any decks that can rush you down before you can pull raza/anduin at the bottom of your deck

Action:Move to [Rank 26]
I will rope every single of you. Cunts.
BrokeBack
This card isn't the problem, Raza is.
What do you mean?
Raza+Justicar is pretty fucking OP
100% agree
Crafted this cunt to play Razakus priest and he ended in the VERY bottom of my deck. Fuck you Anduin
Slows the game down too much.
