Why do people so easily call this card bad when giving an extra turn on the strongest tempo class in the game is clearly very powerful. If there is any class that can swing back a tempo loss by playing a 9-mana cost card doing nothing its rogue. Don't forget that the extra turn gained from the stealth could be very significant due to the hero power ( a potential 12 damage Eviscerate already comes to mind. Also as far as I remember a card called Preparation exists, so it is clearly possible to play another spell and make use of the hero power of this card the turn it is played with only 1 mana. 

Since Valeera can't use weapons anymore after using the DK card, maybe equipping a dagger would be nice, maybe too OP. IDK just an idea.

Weapons in Rogue decks are entirely passable. The only interaction which is semi frequently run at the moment is Deadly Poison. And that's a totally optional card. Weaponless Valeera is entirely fine.

This card is already great. The stealth is like a controlled Ice Block, and if the opponent floods their board, the Rogue can follow up with pretty strong combos, like prep, vanish, prep, Burgle/FoK, 7 drop. Or, with the same hand, Burgle/FoK, prep, Burgle/FoK, Vanish. For board clear and card draw. That's two different situational combos from the same hand, and both wipe the board.

Totally agree. This is a powerful card no doubt about that. We can see how powerful when its expansion is launched. Its just an idea I had, maybe the card would be OP if the weapon is equipped and you Deadly Poison it and then Stealth.

Very rightly so, the card has been compared to Ice Block, but to criticize the card for its mana cost compared to Ice Block is bullcrap.

The card provides additionnal ressources (Eviscerate, Leeroy, Sap) to close out the game right after it's been used, and it cannot be hard-countered by a random Secret-Eater when the metagame shifts to counter it (so just like that it's not a 9-mana Ice Block, but rather a 9-mana uncounterable Ice Block that gives you potential additionnal burst, and still leaves you at 15/20 hp at the end of the process with a strong card-creation mechanic, if your opp isn't just dead by now); and most importantly : it's a Rogue card, not a Mage one !

While mages naturally get out-tempo in constructed and take extra turns with Ice Blocks to win with burn spells, Rogues are one of the classes that out-tempo people, but struggle with face decks or "combo" burst decks because they have no way to protect themselves when they want to go for the kill. That card fits that role very efficiently as long as you can fight up to your 9 manas.

As a hardcore rogue afficionado, I find it very well designed and respectful of the classes gamestyle and needs for a late game Rogue card.

But still : Rogue Legendary. Dumb haters will always be around, we're used to it.

That little shadow thing on her Hero Power is waving at us--almost as cute as Snowflipper Penguin!

Seems terrible. 9 mana force your opponent to trade, gain 5 armor. Hero power is odd, giving you an extra flexible card each turn? Rogues don't out last their opponents, they out tempo.  Clunky card that doesn't do much for 9 mana is far from meta defining in my opinion. If anybody would like to argue, lets!

yes 9 mana is quite steep! Terrible card for my taste as well.

Imo, even though the "Hero Power" would work in a grindy playstyle, the card isn't designed for that purpose, for two reasons :

- The stealth effect doesn't make much sense if you want to grind out your opponent, since you're loosing a whole turn just to protect yourself of pretty much anything and therefore will get a hard hit on board tempo

- The ability to freely select the card you want to copy is valuable enough to give you the win in one turn in the majority of the scenarios

For me, the card was rather designed as a new and less broken version of Conceal that also works more safely. The idea of the card is just to set-up lethal by going all-in with your board, making you untargetable and letting your opponent do whatever with your board, then using the Copy effect to copy a valuable burst card like Eviscerate or Leeroy.

Basically, the card opens you a window to stop interacting with your opponent and go for a 2-turns kill. It counters Freeze/Control Mage's burst if played correctly, and gives you a safe turn in the end game where any aggro/midrange's topdeck is capable to crush you on the spot. One of the Rogues's biggest difficulty is to setup the perfect moment to go for the kill, particularly when the meta is very board-domination oriented, and a good fractions of your losses could have been a win with "just one more turn". That card brings them both ;-)

The thing is we generally tend to want to over-abuse the advantages of cards and therefore misjudge them. Typically with that card, what looks good on paper is the "regular card advantage" mechanic, but the really valuable effects for a Rogue are the character Stealth and the ability to select what you want to copy ;-D

By far my favorite new hero!

There are just so many possibilities what you could do with this. Like to escape Death, sure just for one turn, but rogue finally is getting a way to heal and who knows, maybe even a decent board clear. But even if not maybe yogg makes a comeback and acts similarly as in Druid. I mean this card WOULD go into a spellheavy deck to make use of the heropower anyway, so yogg should be buffed enough until turn 10.

Also there are TONS of combos that you can trigger, so many in fact that  i dont even want to start listing some. Those WILL require you to take a few turns and gather a few copies, but if rogue manages to build a decent control deck, this card will give you a huge amount of value. Still not better than Jaraxxus though, but way more fun.

Why do you say this? Get a pretty powerful hero power, but skip your turn? They develop their board for free on turn 10, and now what do you do? Play two eviscerates? Complete the quest? Seems slow to me.

This is really slow for rogue but the design it really cool.  A very unique mechanic indeed, works good if you've stolen good spells from your opponent.
