This card is so evil, people are going to be so salty.
Interesting card, but it will still need some help before it can be an arctype. Right now it's a good 2 cost drop on curve that may potentially screw somebody out of a key card. I can see it being ran in most current warlock decks. May even see some wild versions that focus more on the card removal with bran and coldlights. I'd like to see at least 1 more card this set that compliments it, but I have a feeling we'll see more warlock cards similar to this moving forward because Warlock is in desperate need of more arctypes.
It could be a 0/1 and still be unfair (not good, but still poorly designed).
While you're at it Blizzard, why not make Drakonid Operative, Mind Vision, Thoughtsteal, Shifting Shade, Crystalline Oracle and Curious Glimmerroot outright steal cards as well?
Love how they specified "top" card instead of "random" card for a little extra salt.
Well it's possible that they have a card in this set that puts a card to the top of the deck or something similar in another expansion. That said at the very least it says "Remove" and not "Discard".
Because the Warlock had discarded a card and it can go towards lakari sacrifice and all the other discard synergy cards. Since this is just remove it wont go towards those things.
A nice card for renodeck with brann :-)
This is a powerful card. In a game about defeating your opponents deck using your own resources, you get a FREE removal. 2 mana 2/3 is a basic statline, and the battlecry comes at no cost.
This isn't Removal; removal affects the board.
No it doesn't. This doesn't remove the card from the opponents hand, it doesn't answer any threat the opponent plays, and it doesn't affect the board.
Then please tell me why every control deck in MTG isn't using Balustrade Spy for the mirror as that card can "immediately be somewhere in the ballpark of a 8-for-1".
This card doesn't do enough. Trust me.
It's even worse than pack filer. They made a card just to rekt combo decks. Funny and interactive. Just play aggro shit and everything will be good. Curvestone: Heroes of Coinflip.
You guys do realize this card is only as good as Blizzard allows Combo decks to be, right?
Mill a Pirate? Glad the Pirate Warrior deck isn't 80% pirates.
Mill a control deck's value cards? Glad control decks aren't 90% value.
You're all dreaming about the days where you mill out C'Thun, Reno Jackson, or Archmage Antonidas, but against 98% of the decks most people play losing one piece of their deck is absolutely not a problem. And let's not even get into the fact that thinning an aggro deck is about the worst thing you can do against it (Hence why Patches the Pirate is so strong)
Well against aggro it the same as no effect actually... they don't get any value out of card (unlike Patches the Pirate) but Aggro decks rarely go even through half of the deck before killing you, so destroying one of 20 cards they would never get into their hand anyway is pointless...
Warms my heart that not everyone on this thread thinks this is the second coming of warlock jesus in the form of a 2 drop
An rng card that affects your opponent deck with 0 drawback and no possible counterplay? Blizzard plz
To all combo decks out there
Make Warlock not fun again?
Seriously, a deck attack with no counter? So the only way to make Warlock balanced is to introduce broken, anti-fun mechanics? If that's the case I'll probably stop playing altogether.
