i know LOL. people don't realize that the majority of games don't go to fatigue and if their opponent has a card that they don't like in the bottom 5 of their deck and don't draw it, that its no different than burning it randomly....
and you dont realise not everyone plays decks where a discarded card dont matter
the discarded card doesn't matter because you can't fatigue people as warlock and if you don't get to fatigue, him discarding a card doesn't do anything because he easily could've drawn that good card you destroyed in his last 5 cards. Or better yet, you could've discarded something worthless like an Acolyte of Pain which actually HELPS him get to his good cards!
So many highlights. So many angry stories. Love it.
Ah shit, it has a cool name. I still hate it, but not as passionately now. Damnit...
Everyone asked for a Jade Idol nerf. And now that you have it,you rage about it!
As other say this card isnt intented vs aggro. You have Defile for that.
This card is more intended vs control where it matters a lot.
I at least can see the plays where i keep the card along with Brann Bronzebeard and Youthful Brewmaster in wild as Renolock for a total of 4 cards destroyed. And yeah, guess what!
There are still people playing wild..
lol at everyone saying this card's busted. There are cards in magic the gathering that destroy FIVE of your opponent's top cards. This will never see play. When you play more card games, you'll realize that you need to build an entire deck around milling your opponent for it to have any relevance. This is basically just a 2 mana 2 3. Think of it this way, if you played this and destroyed a good card from your opponent, they could've also just not drawn that card the whole game anyway. This card would be decent in rogue, warrior, or mage, but it's really bad in warlock because of the warlock hero power, not to mention that even if you did say play Sir Finley turn 1 and got a controlly hero power, you still don't have enough tools to mill people with warlock. Druid couldn't even mill people back at the start of Old Gods and they have Naturalize and a ton of healing! Oh yeah and don't forget that the only match-ups where fatigue is even relevant in the first place are vs jade druid which is a joke, control warrior, and control priest. And now with the new stupid warrior epic, no deck will ever mill them. That just leaves priest and they're much more likely to win because they have a ton of removal and discover shit every turn if you don't put pressure on them.
Only thing busted about this card is that sweet sweet gnomish cleavage!
I was gonna comment the same thing, people downvoting this are the ones who thought Troggzor the Earthinator was gonna be busted. They just have to wait and see.
If Fel Reaver saw play, this won't.
sometimes people on this site are complete imbeciles lol. Even if I was 100% wrong, which I'm not, there's no reason to downvote someone's opinion. Hello?? freedom of speech is a thing! And here, this is a new MTG card which does the same thing this card does, only it destroys FIVE cards instead of 1 and this card is considered terrible and never sees play!!!
It sucks because it's Sorcery. If it was an Instant though...
I don't see how that is terrible; it'll just never be used outside of mill. The same applies for this card in Hearthstone. As for whether Mill-lock becomes a thing, your guess is as good as mine.
If you have 2 in your deck and both are used. The probability of removing a key card like Archmage Antonidas in Freeze Mage of the 30 available is 6.67%.
Now consider the amount of decks you will face who don't have any key card.
Worth it.
</sarcasm>
Another way to consider it is accounting for what cards are key to your opponents victory. Using Freeze Mage as an example again, the key cards would be Archmage Antonidas, Sorcerer's Apprenticex2, and Molten Reflectionx2. That is 5 cards out of 30 that you have 2 chances of removing at least one. That means that you would have a 33.35% chance of removing one. One in three odds looks a lot better.
If you want to test this calculation out for yourself with different decks, just add 3.33% if one used and 6.67% for two used per card valued to be removed.
You are playing a river crocolisk for a 1/3 chance of disrupting a quest mage combo, when you can still just be burned to death(you are a warlock), and quest mage is really the only deck that has so many combo pieces...
I just hope I find some of you on ladder before you learn how to play the game
I only used Mage as an example. Obviously I am not implying that you would beat them just by removing the key cards. What I am implying is the math to which you can apply to all decks.
One of-> 3.33(intended cards to remove)= Probability of doing so during the length of the game
Two of-> 6.67(intended cards to remove)= Probability of doing so during the length of the game
Why's this gnome so busty?
If you take proportions into account, most female gnomes are actually well endowed.
"HaHa! You just got countered by Snowflipper Penguin!"
I still can't get over how this is real. Don't blizzard hate deck meddling? Isn't that why they nerfed illidan?
