I love this combo, particularly since Street Trickster is a demon. Even if Discolock still doesn't work, maybe a control style Demonlock will!
Then you have to run Trickster in your deck and not always have defile to POSSIBLY be able to chain this among a bunch of minions that all have these differing HP amounts (tip from someone who's been legend multiple times and around for every meta since open beta, this won't happen even close to enough to justify this)... that's absolutely unforgiveable. Be more realistic.
This combo will actually give you 5 cycles, since after the Trickster dies it casts it again to deal up to 10 damage.
From my write up it should be pretty clear what conditions are required, so I feel that is plenty realistic.
If anything we will see a Trolden clip of this eventually though. A single card AOE is always going to be more reliable.
Trickster is a great card, though not good in all classes. I run double trickster in my miracle rogue, but ofc rogue has a great many damage spells. Usually people get very scared, and often the trickster tanks at least 7 damage, which is nice because rogues and healing :s
Warlock did not have the same need for spell damage since darkbomb rotated out, and with all the hellfire/felfire aoe, trickster was worse than bloodmage. Well, now Gul'dan would like a word with the trickster, and the potential demon synergy is just extra icing. This might make handlock a thing again.
Imo it's foolish to dismiss a card based on current meta. For all we know, there will be no aggro decks after the new expansion.
Question: If 2 minions die at the same time, will the spell be triggered again only one, or twice?
Say you cast Forbidden Ritual and still have 3 tentacles left over the next turn, would Defile trigger a minimum 3 times + additional casts for any opponent minion deaths?
Considering that would be absurdly strong I'm going to assume that the card only counts deaths by "activation round" and not the total number of deaths, but it doesn't outright say so in the card's text.
Yeah it says "if any die..."
It looks like the "if any die" trigger means each cast of the spell can net a single bonus cast of the spell if one or more minions die during that cast.
If any die is also the wording on Poison Cloud, (Grobbulus's Hero Power in Naxx) and that summons multiple Fallout Slimes, so it's a valid consideration.
Great card with a lot of potential at most in wild! :) it will ruin current aggro decks! #MakeLockGreatAgain
This is the most WoWish card ever. Flashbacks to learning the Lich King fight. Well done! Shame it's 'lock only though...
aoe that doesn't self damage? Did they forget to read the text before releasing it? I sense a nerf coming.
Only this card changes the warlock meta which is very good indeed
Warlock has been dead to long )= only meme decks and some aggro decks exists right now and they haven't effected the meta that well in Standard monkaS
As a warlock lover I can't wait for some more of these spells. Hype
They mentioned at the stream that dreadsteed has been changed to "Deathrattle: at the end of your turn summon a Dreadsteed"
because dreadsteed caused this card to be an infinite loop.
Poor Dreadsteed good card ruin... :(
If it's like that is not a big deal, at 95% will be the same. Occasionally can be even better: I play a Dreadsteed deck with umbra, Nzoth and baron. So i usually end up with 6 DS and play a extra minion per turn. In this way I can open more windows and able to play multiple minion if needed.
Soo infinite cycle with 3 Grim Patron with 1,2,3 hp?
12333 - 1222333 - 1112223 - 1112333 - 1222333 - ....?
Not so good considering more people are playing wild than ever before for obvious reasons.
Here is how it will work with a 1, 2, and 3 Health Grim Patron:
1-2-3 -> 1-2-3-3 -> 1-2-2-3-3-3 -> 1-1-2-2-2-3 -> 1-1-1-2-3 -> 1-2-3-3
At this point we are back to beginning and will continue to loop infintily.
