It will deal 3 at least 3 damage no matter what. The pyro is trigged before the spell, and then the spell kills the pyro, so the spell get casted once more. And ofc if that kills something it get casted again and so on.
And note that because pyro description says "After YOU cast a spell" it doesnt matter if you have a buffed pyro and it survives the first cast of the spell. If the spell get casted again because it killed another minion it wont trigger the pyro.
Interesting interactions with Arcane Anomaly , Arcane Giant , and Gadgetzan Auctioneer . If on turn 6 you could get it to kill your own auctioneer you would draw 4 cards and discount your giants to 8 from one card alone. Probably not viable but simply awesome.
Wait does that mean that Defile + Arcane anomaly alone would go infinite?
No it would gain +1 health take one damage, gain +1 health take one damage, and never die to defile. But if you Hozen Healer it it would end up havng prretty good health lol
Is it confirmed that it counts as you casting the spell when it is recast or will it work like spells that are cast by Yogg-Saron, Hope's End?
If they are nerfing Dreadsteed I assume we can get a full dust refund?
i really dont like the change. 6 mana 1/1 deal infinite board damage is not that broken. and you can pretty much do the same with patreon and villager
Its not that its broken it that the game would break because you would never be able to end your turn even if you roped out the effect would still play skipping both players turns.
just add the 80 respawns from patreon and its playable? ok with the immune card and knifejuggler you get an otk for 7 mana if the dreadsteed isnt silenced or hexed, but you can still do the same with emperor + villager (0) + patreon(4) + knifejuggler(1) + immune card (2) + defile (1). its a tricky otk but all the cards are playable in one deck and with lifetap this should be possible
I love this card cause it can clear board and give you advantage right away..Surely a good card and not bad-designed imo!
Seeing as this expansion is not going to cycle out cards (meaning the current top aggro decks will still have their stuff) this card might actually be insane.
Woah! A board clear that doesn`t suck, and it`s from Warlock, awesome.
"I've been Raza the Chained and Betrayaled, Charged and Defiled"
Daenerys Targaryen
For 7 mana you can do at least 4 damage to the whole board... why not just use Felfire Potion to do 5 damage to everything or go all the way and just cast Twisting Nether; it only costs 1 more mana!
patreon and villager ;) one more mana and you end up with some minions
fellfire deals damage to yourself, twisting nether kills just the minions. defile kills or at least deals one damage to deathrattle respawns. really cool card, maybe you can steal a frothing and otk the warrior :D
Defile is definitely great on it's own, but I think it really shines with Street Trickster
This card will go infinite if you face a Grim Patron with one health and another one with 2 health and a third with 3 health. It will keep casting itself.
Unless this card is counted as a singular effect, not allowing other effects to resolve until it is complete.
I don't believe it will work that way on the stack. it casts, waits to see if anything else dies. Grim pation resolves then it will re-cast starting a new stack.
My guess is it won't. As I posted in another post:
Let's try.
The order is: damage is dealt -> Grim patrons are generated (if enough space) -> 0 life minions are removed -> new spell cast (if any minion died)
3/3 3/2 3/1 (initial state)
3/2 (3/3) 3/1 (3/3) 3/0 (damage is dealt, 2 minions generated, 1 died, 4 minions left...)
3/1 (3/3) 3/2 (3/3) 3/0 3/2 (3/3)
3/0 3/2 (3/3) 3/1 3/2 3/1 3/2
3/1 (3/3) 3/1 3/0 3/1 3/0 3/1
3/0 3/2 (3/3) 3/0 3/0 3/0
3/1 (3/3) 3/2 (3/3) (no minions killed here)
So I guess you are left with 3/3, 3/3, 3/2 and 3/1.
