Is this a reference to Sanguine,  Daedric Prince of revelry at Elder Scrolls?

Most likely not, Sanguine is an adjective to describe something of a blood red color. Hence his art with the blood.

It will be a staple card for Zoolock. A great 1-drop for constructed gameplay. Eggs will be more popular with this :)

Blizzard seems to have no idea which direction they want to go with Warlock...other than down.

This card has potential. It's an easy, mana efficient way of popping your Eggs and other deathrattle-synergy cards. Plus, warlock can shit out a bunch of small imps to take the hit. 

judging by the situation of warlock the last expansion though i doubt that a 'potentially' good card could swing the game for it, compared to the old priest where they literally just gave priest everything in order to become great again (dragonfire potion, drakonid operative, etc.)
