It's worth noting that the targets you most want to get from this are the most likely to get transformed with effects such as Polymorph or Hex.
Also, unless you get it early from a Barnes-like effect, it will be hard to consistently summon something useful from this.
Am I really the only one that is tired of this "hex or polymorph" bullshit, two fucking clasess out of 9 has those cards, and polymorph isn't even included in any mage deck, ofc you can get it from random stuff but NOT playing a card cuz becouse something can get poymorphed is most retarded reason ever. It is like not playing tyrion or sylvanas cuz i can get polymorphed
a lot of mages run at least 1 polymorph. but yeah your point stands, it's a dumb argument.
This card being weak to transform effects is just another downside to playing it, I'm not using the "bad because polymorph" argument, I'm only pointing out one of its biggest weaknesses. The other being the fact that you usually want to play way more than 3 minions that you wouldn't like to get from Eternal Servitude, which greatly dilutes the pool of cards you can get from it making it worthless a lot of the time. Bad card with great reviews, check and check.
Ressurect effects are not bad... yes your 3 choices will suck once in a blue moon and make for a very salty highlight of streamers... but usually at least one of 3 choices will be minion that costs 4 or more (or a really good cheap minion like Injured Blademaster) and quite decent amount of time you will actually get the minion you wanted even if like 10 minions died already chance is 30%
It's a card that can only be played in the late game, in a control matchup, after some of your threats have died and something like an Injured Blademaster won't be much good for. Before that, it's a completely dead card since you really don't want to summon early game minions with it. On top of all of this, it still has a very good chance of just giving you 3 bad options as any deck that can survive until this card is relevant absolutely needs small to medium minions that would be bad to meh quality. I appreciate the Timmy mentality it keeps this game fresh, but I don't expect to see this often.
meta for me, not for the game just becose i will bring back my ress priest
You killed my Malygos! That's okay...
Less fun than Mindgames but can act like pseudo innervate or two if something big dies on your side of the board.
Hell you can make barnes yshaarj priest now for fun and res the 1/1 yshaarj as 10/10 if it dies you can combine it with normal resurrect for more 10/10's
God bless Shadow Visions
Lyra the sunshard anyone? Right now the most effective combo I can think of. Summon 3 minions in 5 turns including her and then poof-- suddenly you have her AND a bunch of spells in your hand
Eternal servitude into Prophet Valen, then copy with Prince Taldaram, Radiant Elemental + Smite, Smite, Mind Blast = 36dmg. Totally possible combo right???
yeppp. but creating a deck that is able to hold off aggro while holding onto a 6 card combo is what makes this combo not good. But, fun :)
I actually created an incomplete version of this deck to see if I could survive into the late game to make this combo work and the results might surprise you. I did very well against token and agro decks, I even won a couple of games despite not even having access to this card yet. Turns out priest has overpowered removal against current meta decks. Shadow word horror will often clear a shaman's entire board and it deals with living mana. Embrace the shadow/circle of healing deals with every minion that pirate warrior runs. For bigger boards there is pint sized potion into shadow word horror and dragonfire potion. The problem with the deck is actually slower decks. I kept losing to mage because ice block exists. Arcane giants are also a serious problem for type of deck. Got wrecked by taunt warrior hero power as well. I think eternal servitude is better in a super greedy value deck with lots of big minions and deathrattles rather than in a combo deck.
You play this after killing your own Kel'Thuzad in wild...your opponent concedes.
Takes me back to the good ole memes of shaman reincarnation KT decks.
Holy shit. Even if it would cost 11 mana, I will play this card.
