This is a massive card in Wild DR Hunter

It doesn't seem hard for the opponent to kill this and deal with the spider babies before they can do anything.

EDIT: Now that I've seen Devouring Swarm, I'm feeling much better about this card.

Nice.  Solid taunt and a really nasty deathrattle. The little spiders having rush makes this card work.  Love it.

The thing is the card does not have taunt.

Might not actually have it, but if they let you control when it dies, you get to kill whatever you wanted with it's deathrattle spawn. So they will most likely want to use the biggest thing to kill it (just like they would with a taunt most likely) then whatever's left or a aoe spell to kill the spawn otherwise their best is dead. He prob just misread the tradable keyword though.

The thing about "soft Taunts" is that they don't actually help you (or function as a Taunt) when you are about to die -- i.e., when you need a Taunt the most. And, most of the time, a Hunter who is on the defensive has already lost.
