Hero Power
Card Clarifications
- This Hero Card will swap out your current hero!
- Upon switching heroes, you will gain 5 Armor and the Battlecry will activate.
- Your Hero Power will become Build-A-Beast. It allows you to create custom minions which are combinations of two different collectible beasts.
- The collectible beasts from the Hero Power are 5 mana or below. They rates between neutral beasts and Hunter beasts are equal.
- The first card pick through the Hero Power will be a card with text. The next card will either have Keywords or be Vanilla.
- If your current Hero was Alleria, you'd still become Deathstalker Rexxar.
- You only gain 5 armor, new emotes, and the new hero power when played. You don't get a reset on life.

I'm loving the idea so far!
Im just curious, what happens if i combine weasel tunneler with a beast. Does my opponent get then my zombeast or the weasel tunneler into the deck ?
This will be for Control decks.... maybe (not) on mid-range deck cause most good combos costs 4+ mana and you might as well to play it on turn 6 if you have the board After the battlecry . and if you wanna play the minion Directly based of how much mana you wanna use you will offer 2 mana for at least a (3?)4-8 mana minion. Otherwise it can be handy if you wanna plan ahead for a greater minion you can play later on on specific turns.
The power play would be on turn 8(7 with coin) if you want to utilize it so you can clear opponents board and prepare a minion at the same turn
The card itself seems weaker to other control decks
Does anyone know if you have a golden hero portrait then play a regular non-gold version of this card, will your hero portrait no longer be gold? Also, if you don't have a golden portrait but play a gold version of this, do you gain a golden portrait for the match?
If you have a golden warlock and play jaraxxus non golden then you become non golden jaraxxus so this should be the same for all the hero cards.
the hero power seems interesting
I have a feeling like this will be another failed attempt at midrange hunter
at least in my opinion this only helps a hunter that was able to sustain a long battle to have a great end game, which I am not sure how viable it would be, mostly not as viable as many would think.
It's too bad they didn't take the time to draw new art for each of the combinations. Totally not necessary for just this mechanic with there being probably over 100 different combinations but hey would have been cool.
It should since it's like any other minion but custom.
I can only hope it does it would make n'zoth SO strong
We've talked a lot about the combinations of Beasts that we do know, so let's talk about potential combinations. If they make a Beast with Lifesteal, it would be a great pick. Imagine Bittertide Hydra with Lifesteal, It would heal you for an enormous amount of Health whenever it attacks, plus its effect would be negated because it would heal you for the same amount of damage it dealt you. Knuckles with Lifesteal would heal you for twice the amount. Once for the damage it dealt to a minion, the second for the damage it dealt to your opponent. Dispatch Kodo with Lifesteal will heal you for the amount of damage it dealt with its Battlecry. With Lifesteal being one of the themes for this expansion, I really hope they make a cheap Lifesteal Beast.
I think this card "ok" at best for constructed.
1 - Hunter has already a superb 6 drop called Savannah Highmane. I'd like to play that card in any case.
2 - Hunter's current hero power is the best one in the game to go face. Changing it usually doesn't work. (Does anyone remember Dinomancy?)
3 - This card is very defensive which is not suitable for Hunter gameplay in any case. (usually hunter games end on turn 7-8, so making a defensive move on turn 6 is meaningless) If some of the new cards could support a control gameplay, maybe it can get better.
4 - This card could be great for Arena only if it could be drafted since hunter suffers greatly there in the late game.
You are definitely right. This new hero power is stronger than Dinomancy but Hunter's original hero power is still the best one for his gameplay. Hunter is all about aggression and 2 face damage every turn is very hard to replace because of it.
I honestly think this isnt really good at all
as a hunter you need to go face and since the hero power doesnt do anything immediately its not so good
Very interesting combinations:
Now that I think about it. Tundra Rhino + Jungle Panther will be fun if you just keep it stealthed. A little bit slow, but fun after all you high attack zombeasts suddenly have charge and opponents struggles to remove that 6/7 stealth give all beasts charge...
Yes, you become whatever Hero Card you play, regardless of class.
