Hero Power
Card Clarifications
- This Hero Card will swap out your current hero!
- Upon switching heroes, you will gain 5 Armor and the Battlecry will activate.
- Your Hero Power will become Build-A-Beast. It allows you to create custom minions which are combinations of two different collectible beasts.
- The collectible beasts from the Hero Power are 5 mana or below. They rates between neutral beasts and Hunter beasts are equal.
- The first card pick through the Hero Power will be a card with text. The next card will either have Keywords or be Vanilla.
- If your current Hero was Alleria, you'd still become Deathstalker Rexxar.
- You only gain 5 armor, new emotes, and the new hero power when played. You don't get a reset on life.

Why would you ever use this card to replace the best hero power in the game? SMOrc
This card looks fun, interesting and control oriented. Which sadly means 90% of hunter players will completely ignore it and keep playing midrange.
49 beasts atm in standard for Hunter. This hero power will be good or bad based on the choices you're given.
Stonetusk Boar gives charge for only 1 mana.
Young Dragonhawk gives windfury for only 1 mana.
Tbh, most of the 1 mana minions give something great for cheap cost.
Stubborn Gastropod gives taunt and poison for 2 mana.
Vicious Fledgling could be even more of a pain if combined with something good, like charge.
Dispatch Kodo and Duskboar is a 6 mana 6/5, deal 6.
Rat Pack with something to buff it's attack is gonna make a lot of rats.
Bittertide Hydra and Knuckles will both be nasty if combined with the right counterpart.
I wonder if Weasel Tunneler will shuffle the Zombeast into the opponents deck?
As Yong Woo has clarified on Twitter, Hero Cards will be available in Arena.
i like the flavour of this card
really looking forward to the rest of the hero cards
6 Mana, deal 2 to all enemy minions. Get a hero power that draws you cards without a life cost and without going towards fatigue. And gain 5 armour? How is this only playable!?
Step 1: Play wild
Step 2: Play Deathstalker Rexxar
Step 3: Discover Dreadscale and Stubborn Gastropod or Emperor Cobra
Step 4; ???
Step 5: Profit!
A 6 mana cost minion 6/5 with effect "at the end of yout turn destroy all other minion" (without divine shield or immune)
Seems good
As the card clarification says, that means we will not get any zombeast with more than 4-lines of card text. Currently, in Standard, there are 510 combinations (not including any new beasts coming in this expansion). In Wild, there are 736 total combinations. Keep in mind, there would be 2401 in Standard and 3844 in wild if they didn't split them between cards with text and cards with a Keyword/Vanilla cards.
I think people are overlooking the fact that this card gives hunters 2 things they've almost never had, a board clear and healing, all in one card, as well as the ability to create unique minions with discovered effects with your hero power. I know people say that control hunter will never be a thing, but if this card doesn't do it, I don't know what will.
I think people are overhyping this card. If a Hunter doesn't win the game by turn 8, they've lost anyway. I don't see hunters having enough time to play 6 cost DeathStalker Rexxar, and then pay another 2 mana to make your beast, and then roughly 5 mana or higher to play their Zombeast. Sure, you COULD do that. Or you could just play Savannah instead. Hell, I think Call of the Wild would make it into your deck before this card does.
What about ms Windrunner ?
"If your current Hero was Alleria, you'd still become Deathstalker Rexxar.", listed in the clarifications up there.
No alternative heroes as Deathknigh, only the original roster.
That this card would not exist in a slow deck is easy to see, but would it even exist in a control deck? The initial effect is clearly not as mana efficient as similar effects found in consecrate or blizzard (5 armor is only worth 1 mana after all), but even the new hero power is questionable. Even in control Hunter the basic hero power can be useful to pressure your opponent, this new hero power creates a somewhat random minion that you still have to cast. The question is "how often will you want to cast this minion over cards you already have in your hand?".
Seems like N'zoth control hunter may make an appearance next expansion
You just made me realise that the Zombeasts will be revived by N'Zoth if they have deathrattle. Reviving your custom beasts could provide insane value. If you stitch Silverback Patriarch, Ironfur Grizzly, Stubborn Gastropod, or Stegodon with a deathrattle beast, then your N'zoth can revive them and create a wall to protect you.
According to my calculations, you have a ~29% chance of stitching a Deathrattle minion with a Taunt minion in Standard. (This isn't taking into account the beasts that will be introduced in this expansion).
they made it so only the first discover shows beast with text, and the second discover show vanila or keywords to prevent that.
i think this card " MIGHT " be the beginning of returning control hunter
return of control hunter? When was it ever here?
