It heals for the ammount of damage it does so with velen 28 with malygos 84
velen buffs your dmg and heal so when he buff dmg first u ll be healed for 56 but it depends of card mechanics
Now I hope Priest gets a weapon like 1/3 * Spell Power +1 * Whenever you cast a spell that deals damage, lose 1 durability (2-mana cost).
You're going to be hoping for a very long time since priest is a non-weapon class!
The only classes in this game with weapons are Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Paladin and Shaman.
Staffs can be considered weapons too. Look at Medivh's Atiesh. So, why not?
The thing is, with patches the pirate, most of the aggro decks don't run anymore 1 health minion. Almost every minions of Token Druid & Token Shaman have more than 1 health. And you don't have the Shaman hero power to buff this spell like maelstorm portal.
Spirit lash feels like it just has a lot of potential synergy with circle of healing. Sine there are a bunch of minions that do something whenever a minion is healed you could use spirit lash to damage everyone and heal yourself and then circle of healing to heal everyone and get a lot of minion effects popping. Plus it's a decent heal and with a little spell power it's 2 damage to everyone which can be decent and it'll heal a lot. Feel like this could be very useful... or useless. Somewhat need to wait to see other cards and to see if there may be other synergies.
Also buff to lyra as it's yet another cheap spell for priests to play.
It's worth noting that right now the pool of minions with healing synergy currently in Standard is surprisingly lackluster. You have Northshire Cleric, Lightwarden, Hooded Acolyte... and that's about it.
Nonetheless, I would imagine that Spirit Lash can find a spot in Control Priest decks.
I mean, drawing 5+ cards for 3 mana and 3 cards seems good to me... + you get to keep the Northshire Cleric
