As a non-Mage player, I'm asking,
Is it a safe craft for Wild?
Wow sorry nobody got back to you sooner. I think that this is a pretty great card, I crafted it for an exodia mage deck in standard that works pretty well (antonidas, not giants). I think that there are a lot of equally good if not better combos available in wild with different cards, like Rhonin deathrattle into later using your extra turn to combo something like (Coin + malygos + sorcerers apprentice + all three rhonin arcane missiles = 18 damage randomly split among enemies). So I would say the world is your oyster, bust out the pen and paper and see what combos you can make with all the cards that have ever been in the game :P
I think i'd try and build the OTK version with Tony.

This card is quite pathetic and quite unbeatable,the only way I have ever won against this card is by thoughtstealing a coldlight oracle and milling his Archmage,turn 1 open the waygate turn 2 until turn 15 freeze freeze freeze until they assemble the combo,this card is pure cancer
It's seriously not that good, the deck has a pretty average winrate. If its that much of a problem for you shove a nerubian unraveler or a loatheb into your deck. Since you say you're playing priest (which is an entirely separate balance issue) you're probably playing highlander decks, so just tech it in.
I indeed play some Highlander but in standard format only and beating quest mage while being a priest is hard no matter what kind of deck you use
If you're playing Highlander priest you're beating just about everything else on ladder right now so I don't see the issue. You can't just play one deck and expect to win against literally every match up. Unbeatable is also exaggerating it drastically too. Have you ever tried teching in an Eater of Secrets? It's not like you have to attack hardly ever with your minions anyways as your damage is all from your hero power anyways so frozen board state doesn't mean anything. Quest Mage is unfun to play against I can completely agree with that but it's not toxic. It's a deck that has an absolutely abysmal win rate vs aggro so if the meta is aggressive (like it is right now) the deck is literally impossible to climb with. It's a wonderful counter-queue deck but like I said if you're beating everything else on ladder (as you should basically be playing highlander) then I don't see the issue of losing once in a blue moon to a Quest Mage on ladder. That's what the deck is designed for is to punish greedy control decks
You've got it exactly right. I've been climbing since it's the end of the month and got to rank 7 with zoolock. I then decided I wanted to have some slower games so I switched to quest mage and have handily lost 5 games in a row. The deck is, like you said, only good in a non-aggro meta, and this just isn't that.
Automatic concede from me if I see this. Never creates any interesting games and is just a stupid deck. THis deck is like everything I don't like about HS all in one deck

How do you actually beat this? I keep up pressure and get them to 1 or 2 health and then their endgame L I T E R A L L Y doesn't allow any form of comeback.
I have not beaten a Waygate mage for like weeks, almost to the stage of auto quitting the games Mr Blizz. Waste of time and effort to get them down to a single health and then get locked out of the game for the next four turns.
How is this dumber than the stoopid axe nerf and the stoopidier rogue quest?

This is actually f*cking dumb how brainless mage is with quest, and no, it's not just my opinion, when the enemy plays this, and you see the legend professional streamer desperately saying "oh my god how am i going to win this now", then that might be proof for how op this card is. Mage plays it turn 1, and then from turn 2 to turn 10 keeps removing and freezing everything, and then opps you are dead as a full board control warrior with 100 armor.How is that fair?How is that interactive?How is that fun? How is that legal? Just skip a turn? As Amaz would say "That's a card" oh yeah baby, indeed it is. This card should seriously be nerfed to something like 8 or even 10 spells, but even then cancer mage maniacs wouldn't stop playing this thing, this should just get completely removed, quests doesnt even have a counter card, like why does this exist?
It a strong card that can be built around, the card itself can be meta defining. The card pool still has 2 more expansion to grow and will be in for at least 1 year and 8 months before it rotates out. There are a lot of chances for meta that this will be broken, and this definitely constraint design space. It not good in the previous meta doesn't mean it won't be for the countless meta to come.
Now it's OP.
Although people play this stuff in standard with the whole antonidas thing, I'm gonna stick to wild and save up for Mimiron's Head and Target Dummy TTK.
