*potential* was the keyword, but you're right...
Just realized that Shadowflame without Sylvanas and without PO will be a lot weaker D:
The art looks a bit blurry and plain but I guess that won't matter since its gonna have that green effect covering it anyways.
A lot of this dinosaur art is very underwhelming.
No mind control...fits well with Kun
*flaming claws the art team*
I think the power of the card is fine, and it could see some interesting use in ramp decks, but I have two main problems with it.
First, it just seems... dull for a legendary. Where as most other class legendaries feeling exciting and/or unique, this guy is just a big minion with a relatively common effect. Overall it doesn't feel very unique or, well, legendary. The card art too (even though I think it's well done) feels plain in comparison to other legendaries.
My other problem is this card gets overshadowed by the jade package for druid. Why would you pay 10 mana for a 12/12 when you can play a 9/9, 10/10, and 11/11 in one turn for less mana? Even if this guy is tough to remove, it's even harder to remove endless jades. Poor Tyrantus just feels outclassed in almost every way by jades.
Overall this legendary feels a bit disappointing to me.
Edit: grammar
This legendary is worst than Malorne, for me. So, this is the worst Druid legendary, in my opinion
People used to play spectral knight in druid. Feels like everyone's pre-maturely shitting on this card.
you lost me at overstatted.
He lost me at "Still worse than Jade."
New second best Lady Goya fetch behind Y'Shaarj.
y'shaarj is trash.
How about Y'Shaarj into Tyrantus?
You're a big boy.
this would make an amazing combo with menagerie warden, and potentially other beast synergies... If it wasn't for the fact that it was so slow and that jade is probably better in most ways.
Generic dinosaur is generic.
I was just chillin' down at the local zoo and some Menagerie Warden lady told me this thing has a twin...?
What exactly is the logic behind this not being targetable with spells? Like the others I get:
Faerie Dragon and Laughing Sister are like fairy illusion type things. Spectral Knight is, well... a spectral knight. Arcane Nullifier and Wee Spellstopper have anti-magic barriers to stop spells. Soggoth is so big that he just shrugs them off like nothing happened. But what about this guy?
I think the idea is that he's already been adapted with Liquid Membrane. His skin has a blueish hue, similar to the choice card.
