in control warrior do u think this beats out dirty rat?
Technically if it is timed properly, a rogue could use Vanish with the raptors on board. Highly doubt they would need to have that be a thing though.
What? Whirlwind, Ghoul, Pyromancer, Tentacle of N'zoth.. There are plenty of cheap ways to AOE for 1 damage. A single 3/3 for your opponent would be far worse.
This card can be used to possibly steal a powerful minion with mind control tech. :D
Plus, there are times that spawning and/or killing enemies is desirable. Frothing Bezerker, Sea Giant, Second Rate Bruiser all benefit.
For wild, there's also all those "reduce the mana cost by the number of creatures that have died this turn," cards.
A. Dirty Rat is a highly valued Epic that not everyone has. I actually find a lot of the fun of this game in figuring out how to make do with what cards you have, rather than constantly dropping $$$ to play the hottest netdecks. The meta would be really boring if everyone had all the cards.
B. Nobody said this was a top tier card. But it's not unplayable trash, either. If you're running AoE, which a lot of people are ATM, you can make it pay off.
C. You said summoning a 3/3 for your opponent would be better than three tokens: 100% ridiculous.
I don't expect to make Legend with budget cards, but I'm also far from Rank 25, and I've beaten plenty of gold decked whales on the way up. I'm going to laugh when your dirty rat pulls this card out and solves the minion spawning problem for me. xD
No one's mentioned Sea Giant
Well crap.
Turn 1 Tentacle of N'Zoth, turn 2 Cornered Sentry
This would combo really well with warrior's beserker and an AOE (whirlwind etc).
There is a risk to having those 1/1s on board, but let's pretend that they just trade normally into the 2/6 with taunt. That essentially means you have a 2/3 with taunt which puts the stat value for the minion at 6. The baseline stat value for 2 mana is typically 5. So it is already excelling in that department. On later turns as well, it could be played in conjunction with whirlwind effects and removal cards which would make it a 2/5 with taunt for 2 mana. That is impressive value. So I really do believe that this is a very good card that borders on playable depending on how your opponent makes use of the raptors.
Also you could make a cheeky play with this card in conjunction with Mind Control Tech by playing the odds to steal a strong minion.
I feel like they made this card to be played the way dirty rat was designed to be played: anti-aggro with the potential of being swingy in a bad way
but T2 this is not nearly as bad as T2 dirty rat
"it has brawl synergy" you don't need brawl synergy lol. You do not need to play a card before brawling. Does it help? yeah, but does it help enough to justify using 2 cards?
yeah but all it does is give you like an additional 20-30% chance to get a good brawl. You can just as easily play this, brawl, and then he keeps an 8 8 and you wasted a card.
It also has quest synergy. +1 to quest and a clear board even if your opponent has only one minion (see Galvadon or Tyrantus) make this a very powerful combo.
