Silver Hand Recruit Quest incoming! and this is the beginning of our new Silver Hand Recruit theme!
We have:
Silver Hand Recruit
Lost in the Jungle
Silver Hand Regent
Lightfused Stegodon
Stand Against Darkness
Warhorse Trainer
Quartermaster
Muster for Battle
Justicar Trueheart > The Silver Hand
I now see a complete new beginning for Paladin with a Silver Hand Recruit strategy? so.. Paladin becomes a Silver Hand Recruit class and Shaman a Murloc Class..This is interesting wonder what follows!
Silver Hand Regent, Warhorse Trainer, Quartermaster, Justicar Trueheart moving to wild like Muster for Battle.
On standard you will only have Lost in the Jungle, Lightfused Stegodon, Stand Against Darkness.
There should be more paladin cards that interact with silver hand recruits to make it playable. We'll wait and see..
Sadly not all of them are aviable in standard. Actually only 2 (3 including this release) are.
Quartermaster had twice that effect (+2/+2 compared to Volcanic Might) and loose 4 base stats to vanilla (6/5 or 5/6). Also this hast lost of 2 base stats (5/4 or 4/5).
Now lets do some math:
Value = effect/cost * units affected
Value(Lightfused Stegodon) = Value(Quartermaster) <=> effect/2 * units(LS) = 2effect/4 * units(Q)
As the derivative (d effect / d cost) of both terms is equal effect/2 (as 2/4 = 1/2) both cards grant something comparable to +1/+1 for 2, which is complately fair as 1+1=2 for 1 Silver Hand Recruit, for more it is just value.
Conclusion:
Quartermaster
+2/+2 for 4 stats
bigger impact
can go berserk
Lightfused Stegodon
Adapt (approximately +1/+1) for 2 stats
Cheaper
Better for combos
Can go berserk with Flaming Claws
Can go rouge with Shrouding Mist
Can go 10/10 windfury with Dinosize
Beast Paladin confirmed
overall better, numbers don't lie
Might be useful to give them Divine Shields then play Rallying Blade / Blood Knight next.
Except if the Recruits have 1 Health, King Mosh doesn't do shit. Then I'll just Adapt Poisonous onto a Recruit to say bye bye to your dino. :D
Very nice card, with a great ability. the art is awesome! I can't wait to see the golden!!!
Question. Will each Silver Hand Recruit have it's own Adapt choice? Or will you choose 1 Adapt and have it apply to ALL current Silver Hands?
I think its different adapt for each recuit would make more sense.
i think paladin quest will be adapt X minions for reward that dinosaur adapt 5 times
And there it is. Lost in theJungle now scares me
How on earth is the former suggested by the text? It's clearly the latter. Still strong.
We already had a similar, less powerful card like this before (Quartermaster) and it was fantastic for its time. This card is actually a very decent card since it's cheap enough to combo with Stand Against Darkness. So if Pally gets the tool again to stay consistent until the combo, then it's not impossible to do so.
Quartermaster was only ok and saw some play because Muster for Battle is one of the strongest cards in the game.
