Do rat pack, unleash the hounds, and snake pit count as 1 drop minions?
You need to PLAY the 1 drops.
Those counts as Summons, where the quest requires you to Play 7 from hand.
Good call, thanks. This makes it a little more of a sacrifice to build a deck around. Especially since you won't be able to play one on turn 1
That's a good point. On turn one you will have the choice of playing a 1-drop, but miss out on that for the quest, or play the quest and have nothing on the board. Against aggressive decks you might choose to just throw down a 1-drop, then play the quest and a 1-drop on turn 2.
You have to play minions from your hand to count, so rat pack and hounds dont work

This is the worst quest sadly. There are no good/playable one-drops hunter can play besides possibly Alleycat. Even then, the quest itself only gives you an 8/8 and a nether portal that costs mana to use. This doesn't help hunter at any point. Aggro loses value and tempo in playing too many bad one drops while control has to lose valuable card slots for the consistency of even attempting to run this card. The only type of hunter that may come out of this is a control hunter running all defensive one drops and expensive threats and even in that sense this card is bad as you have to pay mana for the raptors. I was hoping for an interesting hunter quest and we got it. But it won't work sadly. Pirates and other decks are able to deal with Hunter's one drops too easily and after that, Hunter has extremely bad turn 4/5 tempo plays (especially with no other minions in play) to enable the deck to beat jades. Unless they start releasing amazing one drops for hunter this card isn't going to be very successful. And I don't think many people want more powerful 1 drops. Currently, with the cards we see revealed Firefly might be ran with this but even so, it doesn't do enough for the tempo hunter generally needs to win games. The deck is not strong/fast enough standalone to consistently beat other strong decks. It can't out damage pirate warrior (or other aggro decks) on board or with weapons and can't tempo out quickly enough to beat jade decks before they ramp up too much.
I really hope future reveals let this card work but currently, I don't see it.
Alley cat, Argent squire, fiery bat, Leper gnome, secret keeper, worgen infiltrator, young priestess, glacial shard, abusive Sargent plus I'm sure there will be a couple more to be announced.
It isn't a long game quest. Aggressive quest for an aggressive class. Get the quest completed quick and gg.
clearly you are a player who has no fantasy to build arround this quest, because this quest is not hard at all to pull of. and they are pushing this quest hard with firefly and tol'vir warden. also alley cat is not the best for this quest, you have to play 7 not summon.
Fatigue hunter is real =P
