This card is great! I just wish it was 1-cost cards instead of 1-cost minions so that it would help Control Hunters even more.
But drawing 1-cost minions is way better for Hunter quest.
Children of Hearthpwn, I think we owe Mr. Warden an apology for calling him trash... We're sorry, sir, we didn't know about your Quest...
Let's just toss Small Raptor into the mix, shall we?
I was hopeful something was gonna synergize well with this card and the Quest they revealed afterwards. Now with the Small Raptor this is just amazing and my hopes are being satisfied. Tol'vir Warden deserves an apology indeed.
By the way, nice image fine sir/cat sir.
Thank you! Also, I cannot personally confirm, but apparently a dev said something about there being another one-drop for Hunter coming soon besides Small Raptor. So there's that as well!
don't you hate it when your 1-mana card doesn't appear in mulligan stage? Well, we have a solution now! :D
This card will be even better once the quest is complete.

The Hunter quest made it Meta-Defining
Amazing with the Hunter quest now :)
It's the card Hunters deserve...but not the one they need
It's Batman!
I mean, it's good in Hunter because you usually run 2-4 1-drops and it really sucks drawing those later in the game when you are in topdeck mode. This effectively removes hat problem for you, but it seems REAAAALLY slow and I don't think Hunter is allowed to do that.
Might still be good enough for Arena at least, and maybe we'll even have another attempt at control hunter that tries this
I've always liked maly hunter and the draw was inconsistent or super low tempo in those decks. If there's anyway to do maly with a few spells in the next standard season I'd love to try it. Or maybe maly hunter goes wild?
this neutral card much better Tol'vir Stoneshaper :(
better mana cost and action!
Requires a high synergy and if you've seen Kripps thoughts on the card he's pretty right.
If not he basically said that if you are playing aggro they mostly control how the game goes. You can't just play an elemental before the turn because aggro controls what you need to do. Kill that, wipe the board here, kill this, wipe here, taunt here. For one you have to plan when to play that taunt. Two it's not always the best play. And unless blizzard prints more cheap elementals like Fire Fly you're not gonna have enough elementals to play them to fill your mana curve when you can to have the ability to maybe do one of these play an elemental last turn requirements. Especially if its for just a taunt divine shield. The new legendary has a lot more precedence for his ability as wiping is something that will come up a lot more then needing a taunt. Especially with the many hard removals in the game.
Because of the really slow nature of the card and the lack of tempo it brings, I think it could fit well in some kind of controllish kind of deck, maybe even with Elementals. It could help you get copies of Fire Fly to setup huge Elemental turns in case we get more neutral Elementals; it could get you Glacial Shard to stop big threats and take time to setup answers; it could help to draw combo pieces like Alleycat and Timber Wolf, or it could even be used to try to keep going with cheap drops on more aggressive decks.
It might not look like a really strong card, and it isn't the kind of draw everybody has been asking for Hunter, because the draw mechanics for Hunter are too situational and have some specific conditions, but I can see it being played in some decks, because certain 1 drops can help to fill the curve in case you have some spare mana, or to actually bring some strong utility in the late game.
What do you get when you cross a Desert Camel with a King's Elekk?
