Reward
Card Clarifications
- The effect happens to minions which are played and summoned. For example, Frogs and Sheep from Hex and Polymorph would become 4/4. (Source)
- Cards on the battlefield when Crystal Core is played will become a 4/4 regardless of active buffs on them. You can later on buff them with cards and they will retain those stats. (Source)
- Example: Edwin VanCleef's effect works as normal if he's in your hand after Crystal Core is played. It will just add the +2/+2 to the 4/4. (Source)
- The reward for this quest is Crystal Core.

Quick question about interactions this card has with others (that might end up being answered post-release in a Toast video):
If my opponent plays Druid of the Claw and transforms it into a 4/4 with Charge, and I use Gang Up on it, then he plays another and transforms it into a 4/6 Taunt, I Gang Up that too, and I play these 6 minions, will the quest be complete? I'll only have played 3 of a particular Druid of the Claw, but I'll also have played 6 total cards called Druid of the Claw. Will the quest recognise this?
And what about different card sets? If I play two Imps summoned by Imp Gang Boss, and two summoned by Imp-losion, will the game recognise these as the same even though they're from different sets? And what if I play 2 Wisps from the Classic set, and 2 more wisps from TGT generated by Dark Wispers, will the quest be complete?
If I bounce a 1/1 Jade Golem twice, and bounce a 7/7 Jade Golem twice, will the quest complete?
Well, there is an answer written on the card; "Play 4 minions with the same NAME" so I bet it will count all those wisps and imps as same.
Ancient Brewmaster into Ancient Brewmaster into Ancient Brewmaster into Ancient Brewmaster and done.
Well, Youthful Brewmaster so you can actually afford it in one turn.
I've made a Mill-ish Rogue deck for the new Standard, based on cards that we know about so far:
Can you explain a bit more of what your deck is supposed to do?
And why you'd ever include an 8/8 Arcane Giant in a deck that aims to turn all friendly minions into 5/5s?
The problem I've faced while creating this deck is that now, Mill Rogue doesn't have Brann Bronzebeard to help mill as many cards as possible, so you're probably going to get countered as soon as they realize this is really a Mill Rogue and not just a regular rogue. That's why I've added some cards like Arcane Giant as a "Plan B", in case you haven't activated your quest yet.
If you still aren't convinced, I usually run Shadow Priest, which is a deck that needs to have a lot of "Plan B"s for removal in case you don't get your Shadowform on time, yet have many heals in case you do.
What about Summoning Stone? Will it summon 5/5s if I play a 2 mana cost spell for example?
"Your minions are" sounds like a constant effect that will always set a minions base stats to 5/5, so in theory yes, along with tokens and other noncollectable cards.
yes
I just found out that the new revealed card living mana may see play because of this card :O; Let your mana fight for you
I like golden animation
The problem I have is that we have these two new cards that deal 5 damage to the board. I don't know if you'll have enough minions after the board clear to fight back. However against other match ups this could be strong. A little weird to think about as I have no idea when this will get activated. Honestly, could happen turn 2 (turn 1: wisp X2 Shadowstep X2 Turn 2: coin counterfeit coin X2 Crystal Core) or turn 9 depending on what you draw. But I really don't know how long you'll be able to fight back to get the combo pieces for the card. Maybe a while maybe not. However, you can't throw to many control cards into your deck or you won't have enough minions to actually use the quest.
Crystal Core
The more I think about it, the better it gets :D
The moment I found out this works with battlecries and other mechanics I jizzed. I can already see it 5/5 wisps and ferryman everywhere the sweet edwins oh lord <3 this
So, I don't see this working in standard right now, but imagine a shadowcaster deck in wild with this card in it. Survive until combo, infinite 5/5 for 1. Sure.
surely there are cards yet to be revealed that will help with this quest.
Hey people, I'm trying to put a deck together which can make use of this card. I'd love any input you can give or ideas you have. We gotta have faith in the new Rogue Token deck
