1/1 copies created by Shadowcaster summon full 5/3 Sherazin's when they're revived. So that combo's pretty good.
what a stupid bad card.
Could it be be triggered during the enemy turn? I mean, if the enemy play 4 card, is this card can revive?
no. it only counts on your own turns
No, he only revives during your own turn.
Admittedly, I have to eat my words on this card. I thought it would be unplayable trash, but after unpacking it and giving it a go in a miracle deck (standard), its actually not bad. With tomb pillager out, this is now your best turn 4, and its actually pretty crazy on curve. From my own experience, its not too hard to keep a sizable hand. Unlike before, you don't want to save all your cards for questing/auctioneer anymore. Conceal isn't a thing now, you just have to constantly throw threats on the board. This is a threat that sticks around. Reviving it multiple times eats multiple trades/removals, and eventually the opponent just gives up and focuses on your other creatures.
This is not to say it is powerful on its own, in fact, it may only be good in miracle. However, mimic pod is nuts in miracle (getting additional cold blood, eviscerate, leeroy, etc is crazy good), so even with the huge losses from rotation, its too soon to say the deck is dead. Will have to wait for the meta to settle, its worth noting pirate warrior is still a potential issue.
I have been playing it in a non-miracle deck filled with lots of combo cards and cards like Razorpetal generators and Xaril, Poisoned Mind. In that deck it has been fantastic fun and easy to revive, without hurting the success rate of the deck.
If you really want to make use of the card, I suggest you try it with Shadowcaster as the 1/1s come back as 5/3s.
Same experience here : the card is nuts, particularly because the metagame has slowed down (Shamans loosingTunnel Trogg and Totem Golem is key to this change) and everyone tries to play his quest, which gives a huge tempo window to Aggro Rogue and Miracle Rogue to out-tempo the opponents before their reward swings the game.
In Aggro Rogue I make Sherazin, Corpse Flower work with just the normal non-Curator build; Razorpetal Lasher and Mimic Pod are excellent at providing additional ressources to resurect Sherazin while being very mana-flexible and easy to use.
In Miracle Rogue, the card is obivously great. I was also really satisfied with how easy it is to play a good tempo Edwin VanCleef, with the 2 Coins and Razorpetal Lasher. Oh, and Vilespine Slayer is suuuuch a good tool once you've refilled your hand with Gadgetzan Auctioneer and need good tempo answers to the 8/8 for 5 rewards or pesky taunts like Ancient of War !
I actually think this card has potential. I think Razorpetal Volley and Razorpetal Lasher were made for this card. Sure the stats are not too great, but this rewards you for doing what Miracle Rogue already does well IMO plus its a permanent. Anyway, its really cool and awesome design. I will be trying this.
I wonder if this card retains any of the buffs you put on it before its "death" because it doesnt really die just dormant and they dont say resummon this card they put revive
Play 2 should have its own song. Its dank
Thanks my man
Steep requirement, can see play if Rogues get a powerful mid-range deck.
pensaer waiting room ResidentSleeper
Just came here to also say WTF is that golden animation!?!
If that's not the coolest golden animation you've seen in Hearthstone, then I don't know what! Just wow!
Weasel Tunneler and his wink man
Fabulous golden animation
Disappointed the flavor text isn't a Little Shop of Horrors reference. I was hoping for at least "FEED ME, VALEERA!"...
Looks like it will not be able to attack after being revived: https://youtu.be/85O568fFy4A?t=81
