Still a solid 2 mana 2/3 body, and when it does work it gets even better.
Can't wait for pirate warriors to play this card as a 2 mana 3/4 and then just randomly win the mirror every now and again
People play ooze and this seems better to me than ooze. People won't stop playing pirate just because of one card so it will probably have a higher success rate than ooze. Plus beast tribe gives it potential synergies for hunter and druid.
Us hunters can be hopeful, right?
It's an ok arena card at best. No competitive deck will play this, period
I mean maybe kazakus lock might. Kazakus is still far better then all cards in this expansion. So far alli can see jade druid owning everyone. We need a counter jade card like 5 mana 5 5steal a enemy jade.
I really hope they make a crab like this for a new tribe with every expansion. Just think of the wild, 'got crabs' deck. We can share our crabs with everyone we play with...
pillaging, duh
I think this card is just here to scare away pirate shaman/warrior decks.
To the people who think Golakka Crawler is going to buff Pirate Warrior and that this card is the new cancer card, let me explain why it's a terrible idea to put this card into a Pirate Warrior deck:
1. Destroying a friendly pirate to gain +1/+1 is not worth it at all. If you have Patches or N'Zoth's First Mate (both 1/1 minions) in play, all you doing is transferring the 1/1 into Golakka Crawler. If you have a stronger pirate in play, such as Bloodsail Raider (2/3), Bloodsail Cultist (3/4), or Naga Corsair (5/4) you are loosing tempo by destroying a strong minion for a very poor outcome because you have to destroy a pirate before playing Golakka Crawler.
2. This card limits the amount of aggro options needed for a Pirate Warrior deck. Adding Golakka Crawler into your deck would give you a lower chance for you to win the game. If your top decking to either to have one last chance to win the game or trying to add more pressure to your opponent, Golakka Crawler will do the complete opposite of those things. Top decking this card would increase the chance of you loosing the game because you reduce the chances of winning by removing cards that support your win condition with this card that does not apply any extra pressure for your opponent. Also top decking a vanilla 2/3 minion (especially with no pirates in play) would not be useful because it does nothing to change the state of the game.

River Crocolisk: what?
This card is blizzard's meme response to the pirate meta.
what if pirate decks play this? its a totem golem at the cost of a patches or any small pirate
That's the main point of it. Remeber the hungry crab in zoo murloc palain? They run it not for destroying the enemy murlocs but for destroying the 1/1 murloc to gain insane 1 drop value. This crab can be an tech card for countering pirate but also can empower them. Like pirate rogue, Swashburglar on curve.
No, the main point is for other decks to eat opposing Pirates.
Well, it might be polarizing because if it doesn't eat a small pirate, 1) it's just a 2/3, or 2) it eats your bigger pirates.
why would you use this in a pirate deck thats so inconsistent and stupid, half the time you are going to eat your 0 mana 3/3 or your bloodsail raider and other pirate synergies, and you are going to have to replace face cards and other pirates with this so less chance to get patches out on turn 1
Seems overall stupid, if the deck you are playing against also uses this card, you will have no pirates on board period. Also with the 3 mana 3/5 with taunt on the enemies turn i think pirates are screwed
Pirates are screwed? We finally cured cancer!
ooze is an anti pirate tech card too your argument is invalid
Won't this just buff pirate decks? I mean not many decks really have a space open to target specific decks.
