I would assume it does because it has the battlecry in it. If it just read adapt then it wouldn't. However, you might get the same buff twice which for some, it would be good (+6 health or summon 4 1/1 plants to name a couple) but then bad for others. Granted, if you got the same one twice in a row you could just ignore it and pick a different one.
Druid arena buff
I am reasonably excited for this card. For now, it has 6 different options that range from bad to awesome, but on average, it seems pretty decent, especially in a Beast Druid deck.
As a 5 mana 8/4 it's a slightly better Salty Dog with Beast instead of Pirate, so pretty bad
As a 5 mana 5/4 taunt it's a Booty Bay Bodyguard with Beast, so pretty bad as well but occasionaly can save your ass.
As a 5 mana 5/4 "Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers." Its similar to a Spectral Knight, which was never amazing, but is pretty solid, and good against spell heavy decks.
As a 5 mana 5/4 "Deathrattle: Summon two 1/1 Plants." it's like an Infested Wolf with +1 attack for +1 mana, not bad, but not great either.
A 5 mana 5/4 Windfury is actually quite good in many situations, as it is a Dunemaul shaman that replace the overload with 1 upfront mana and loses the clumsy rule. Since Dunemaul Shaman is the 2nd best Windfury minion in the game, this can be pretty good in situations where you have a taunt, or your enemy lacks a board.
A 5 mana 5/4 Divine Shield, is simply amazing, with +1/+2 stats for 1 more mana above C'thuns Chosen (which is good even without the C'thun synergy) or +2 attack instead of taunt compared to Pshyco-tron, probably the best of the six.
So 2 options make him above average, 2 are meh, 2 are pretty bad but you always get to pick the most benefitial of 3 options, so in theory you never get a "pretty bad" (unless you need taunt to live, or an 8/4 to kill the other guy's Ancient Protector), and you usually can get one of the 2 good ones.
We don't know the other 4 options, but I predict a stealth (a stanglethorn tiger with 1 less health is definately playable for the added versatility), a +2 health (Pit fighter with Beast, meh but sometimes what you need), some sort of Enrage maybe (enrage: gain 3 attack and taunt? I dunno) and some sort of battlecry targeted ability (deal 1 damage? 2 damage? Restore 4 health? Silence? who knows!)
Yeah, for the 4 others, probably
Stealth
+2 or 3 Vit
An enrage maybe
Damage +1 for the last one
Other abilities are revealed to be:
+3 Health
+1/+1
Stealth
And Poison (like Emperor Cobra)

Adapt will depend in the situation. It's like kazakus where you have to make the right decision.Surely Azure drake will be missed :(
I think one more Adapt is Stealth
Can't say for sure how good it is until we see all 10 adaptations, but I absolutely love the idea.
girls love long necks
they will, but then again it'S a discover effectout of 10 possibilities. Techncally speaking you won't get divine shield 1/3 of the time.
I'd sayy it's similar to Kazakus, where getting the right ingredients when you need them can be a huge swing, but if you don't the potion is mostly just an overpriced spell.
I feel the same way about this. There will be situations where this might just be a Bootybay Bodyguard with a beast tag and then there will be situations where this becomes an incredibly annoying spellproof minionthat really messes up your opponent's gameplan.
Kazakus potion is NEVER overpriced, just situational sometimes.
Some adaptations might make it worth the extra 1 mana, such as Divine Shield, or a possibility of Stealth/Charge (though I hope the latter doesn't exist)
Brann Bronzebeard can make this guy a bit better, but probably still not enough to justify the entirety of your eigth turn.
Still, Beast Druid, with Menagerie Warden, will probably like Stranglethorn Tiger better.
Only 1 question remains: Does the adapted Deathrattle also count for N'Zoth, the Corruptor?
Brann Bronzebeard rotates out....and i dont think it works with N'Zoth, the Corruptor because it's like Soul of the Forest...but not sure on that one
Moat Lurker is brought back from N'zoth but thats because it naturally has a deathrattle (if it gets dirty ratted, it will still have a deathrattle, even if it didn't activate it's battle cry). Unearthed Raptor however gains the deathrattle and as such, is not summoned by N'zoth.
This looks like it'll be a very interesting mechanic, this expansion is set to be great!
4 health is too low for a 5 mana minion, even with the adapt effects. I don't think this will get any use, except maybe in arena.
a 5 mana 5/4 with taunt and beast tag is basically a vanilla card's worth. the same thign with divine shield is an amazing 5 drop. The possibilities on this thing are potentiall crazy, stop thinking with numbrs only
5 mana 5/4 is definitely not a great statline, but the adapt is rather interesting. the deathrattle of leaving 2 plants makes it a bit sticky (pretty sure it wont work with z'oth though), divine shield could easily be amazing, it wouldn't be terrible stats for a windfury, +3 attack would make it rather hard hitting or trade well with higher health targets, and not being targeted by spells/hero powers could also be decent in certain circumstances.
It's an alright card by itself, somewhat mediocre but not trash stats with a highly adaptable effect making it more useful in several specific circumstances. However it's also in druid and if beast druid isn't a thing this probably wont see a lot of play.
