I Like Dinosaurs but I don't like this one B cause its just Stupid n Dumb with no real synergy, poor stats for its cost, and its just too slow for the turn 4 meta. We need Dinos that have synergy with Pirate Nazi's and Patches for any of them 2C play outside of arena.
This card kinda sucks. If it was 4 mana it could be playable. Druid doesn't need more 5 drops, and at 5 mana it's stats are too weak. Adapt only has 2 decent options for it, everything is else doesn't make it that impressive, or makes it a card that already exists.
Actually Good effects:
Deathrattle: "Summon two 1/1 Plants." (sticky minions are very powerful, synergy with Savage Roar)
Divine Shield (very good effect for its stats)
Medium:
+3 Health (better than vanilla stats, health is more important than attack at this point. However not very impactful)
Bad:
Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers. (no one plays Spectral Knight
+3 Attack (not useful, it's like howLost Tallstrider is worse than Chillwind Yeti)
+1/+1 (no one plays Pit Fighter)
"Destroy any minion damaged by this minion." (there aren't any minions played that have more than 5 health anyways, but perhaps we'll see a slower meta and this could be decent)
Windfury (tough call, if it survives could be good but so far weak Windfury minions have never been used)
Trash:
Stealth (Stranglethorn Tiger is strictly better)
Taunt (no one plays Booty Bay Bodyguard or Evil Heckler, and Druids already have Druid of the Claw)
The difference is, even if none of those are good on their own (except Divine Shield. Deathrattle, +3 health and Windfury who are great (for Shield) and borderline playable (the later 3)) You get to pick the best out of 3 options.
Opponent has lethal? Taunt to slow him down. Empty board and opponent has low removal? Windury, He has an Ironbark Protector or Oasis Snapjaw? +3 Attack to kill him, Can choose divine shield? Choose divine shield!
This has a lot more versatility and that is is strength. Also he's a beast and menagerie Warden GG.
+3 def is as good or better than deathrattle. A 5/7 trades into most popular 5 drop and mosts 6 drops too. Anyway I agree with above, synergy will make or break this card. 4 mana 5/4 adapt is blatantly op so it can't cost that.
I guess you could say the pack filler...

( •_•)>⌐■-■
(⌐■_■) has Adapted.
This card is a must pick in Arena!! It remains to be seen in constructed.
Nice, but how many adapt effects will be used?
Adapt cards will boil down to how many buffs from a list of 10 are actually useful for said card.
For this one:
1) Deathrattle: "Summon two 1/1 Plants." (Arguably always useful on any minion)
2) +3 Attack (Not that useful)
3) Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers. (Maybe, depends on the board state...thats what adaptation is all about right?)
4) Dividne Shield (useful)
5) Windfury (No...maybe)
6) Taunt (Bootybay Bodygaurd sucks)
7) +3 Health (Yes)
8) +1/+1 (Yes)
9) Stealth (Always)
10) "Destroy any minion damaged by this minion." (Instant Taunt arguably)
edit: text editor gone busted for me
Looks pretty bad unless you get the divine shield. +3 hp and windfury are alright. I think its going to be about a 65 score arena card only.
the cards should be destroyed at the end of the turn tbh, holding onto 0 mana windfury is gonna break the game and make more combo decks happen
It is not a 0 mana windfury... It is like a druids Choose One effect...
You "discover" a buff from a list of 10 possibilities and it gets applied immediately to the minion. You don't gain a 0 mana spell card that says "give a minion windfury"
So you get a 5 drop that has a 3 out of 10 chance to work with your current situation. Sounds good.
Also with Brann in Wild this will become a monster.
Yeah, just imagine a 5 mana 5/4 taunt with Stealth. GG
though it might work out as 5 mana 8/4 stealth or 5/7 taunt, though 6/5 windfury or or 5/4 taunt with divine shield... there are lots of options for double adapt...
Thanks so much for keeping Beast Druid intact Blizz! The Adapt mechanic looks really fun and versatile, and after ONiK I was praying that we wouldn't have another add-on where no new cool mechanics were added. When it comes down to this card, it can give you benefits across several different situations. It's not a great Taunt body and you'd always use Druid of the Claw as a 5-mana Taunt over this, but sometimes you just need a Taunt. A 5 mana 8/4 can get removed easily and is probably going to be the least picked option. A 5 mana 5/4 with Windfury has massive amounts of value for the cost, a 5 mana 5/4 that can't be targeted by spells or hero powers is always a pain in the opponent's ass, and a 5 mana 5/4 with Divine Shield is a nightmare to deal with. It might not be the best card for this expansion, but I'm glad Blizzard made it anyways because it's outside the box.
This card is great for Arena.
I'm not sure if it will see any play in Constructed though, because its competing with alot of existing powerful cards in the same 5mp slot (Nourish, Druid of the Claw, Stranglethorn Tiger).
<Sorry, double posted>
Now if Hunter gets some of these, then running Adapt + Windfury into Tundra Rhino can give a lot of damage to Hunters...
I'd be interested to see how this card works with Bran. Do you get to adapt twice and keep both buffs? because that would be sick
