This card doesn't need to be played with Hallazeal in order to be good, though. It won't be unheard of for the Shaman player to just allow the opponent to flood the board with minions and play this, killing pretty much everything they've played until then.

By turn 5, everything will most likely have a combined total of 13-17 health anyway, so it's going to completely destroy the board.

ALSO STOP SAYING OVERLOAD IS ADDED TO THE COST WHILE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE 4 MANA 7/7. BECAUSE IF YOU DO THAT, HE'S A 6 MANA 7/7, AND THAT'S NOT OP AT ALL.

Like with any new card, don't want to say right off if it will be OP or total crap we have much more coming, did Shaman need more AOE not really, it has potential, the combo with Hallazeal  would be sweet. going to wait and see and hope we get something to stop the sinking ship as it were, fingers crossed...

you must be 12 to use rank as an insult. you could easily have gotten legend with midrange shaman during the karazhan meta. does that make you good at the game? no. I bet my ass that all you been doing for the last 3 months is play aggro decks or your retarded curvestone dragon priest. control shaman is not a top tier deck for obvious reasons but it only needs a couple more strong cards to make it a reasonable deck.

This is really good in control builds and even midrange decks can use a copy as an emergency board-clear. Nice card.

i think if you consistently get in situations where playing this is your best option you're probably playing midrange shaman wrong

good with minions who gain a lot from getting hit with 1 damage a lot. Here's also one other thing to think about. 

it's 5 mana and has 2 overload so it effectively costs like 6-7 mana. Flamestrike does 4 damage to everything on board. Assuming the enemy has 7 minions thats 28 potential damage and this does 15 across the entire board not just your enemy. that also said it's amazing if your opponent has only a few higher health minions on the board and you have almost none or a minion you just want dead. It also can be played a lot earlier so it's better for dealing with aggressive low health minions somewhat early on (still have to survive till turn 5). 

Correction: Flamestrike does 4 damage to all opponents on the board.  It doesn't affect friendly minions.

This card looks really nice. Its one of those rare cards that seem to be good for control, and bad for aggro or midrange. For a shaman to make use of this card, they need to have no minions on their side, which is probably why it will only see play in slower decks. Still, 15 damage is a lot for early game minions, and it seems unable to go over the health limit too.

This will probably smash zoo decks, if games start going past turn 5 without being decided. My only complaint is that it goes to one of the two classes that already have enough board clears. Plus the fact that Lightning Storm might be still be better, due to being able to synergize with Spell Damage minions. Still, it budgetly replaces Elemental Destruction, and that is something.
