I will probably try both with Cho'gall in a Renolock deck
Poop.
Does zoo even need more than 7 mana to function??? Zoo might be able to jut use it as cheap removal
This guy gets it.
sadly most zoo decks noobs , because there is cheap taunt 3/5 call felguard and do same effect that destroy 1 mana crystal , still no one use felguard but only me and really low number of players use it
Felguard is quite a terrible card.. you are losing 1 mana for 7 turns if you play it on curve, warlock can draw a lot of cards and mostly use his mana efficiently there's a big disaddvantage in destroying a mana crystal. specially for a 3/5 taunt for 3..
this card seems like a panic button removal.. I really dislike the destroy a mana crystal mechanic it's very punishing, specially in warlock.. in hunter it's not so bad since hunters lack card draw..
At 10 mana when it doesn't matter since next turn the crystal is restored you play a destroy effect for 4 mana, in comparison to others that have restrictions or like crush which needs you to have a damaged minion to get it down from 7 to 4, o course the obvious comparison is to soul syphon, where you pay 2 less mana for this destroy effect only losing 3 healing, which not in all cases you'd need. Quite solid for end game vs control.
Destroying your own mana crystal or giving your opponent a mana crystal is sadly too much tempo swing for your opponent unless the card doing so is notably overpowered.
Thus said, this could be played as a one of in a No duplicates deck on turn 10. Otherwise Siphon Soul is better option.
At 10 mana this is almost like Assassinate. In any other situation it fucks with your curve. Pretty unplayable.
At 10 mana this is strictly better than an Assassinate, since the next turn it's gonna be 10 mana again, so no drawback.
People saying this card is unplayable without realising that this can be very good card for Renolocks. It's just another good single target removal (which is crucial for Renolocks), which you probably WON'T play on turn 4-7. Best scenario: Who cares about losing 1 Mana Crystal if you're at 10 Mana?
It's cheap enough hard removal, though the effect can suck on early turns. Considering Renolock is a deck that tries to drag out the game, though, there's a high chance this card might just get played on later turns for no real detriment to the Warlock playing it. It's also one heck of a good draw from Kabal Chemist. I'm calling it playable.
Insanely strong card, and well budgeted. If played late game (which is when you'll play this) losing that mana crystal doesn't matter. Do people forget that when you have 10 mana, destroy one, it goes to 9, then next turn you just go right back to 10? It's basically like nothing happened at all. If you're using this on turn 4, you either need to re-build your deck, hope for a better draw, or re-learn how to play. This is not meant for Yeti's, this is meant for large Jade Golem and other huge threats.
Siphon Soul is far better.
But you can't play 2 Siphon Souls in Reno, Kazakus, or Krul deck.
This in no way will ever outperform Siphon Soul. Destroying mana crystals was enver worth the effect and thiis one's pretty terrible. Why is this a common? Is Arenalock too strong now?
I usually try to see the good, or practical usage in cards. but this card is just pretty bad.
