This should be an OTK for Priest after this combo, right?
This card is amazing with Justicar Trueheart. It saves you so much
The fact that preist and mage is part of Kalbal
The fact that preist has both Shadowform and Raza the Chained
The fact that Preist can obtain Coldarra Drake from Kabal Courier
How good will this card be after Reno Jackson, Justicar Trueheart and Confessor Paletress rotate out?
I think he'll be just fine. I'm running a Shadow priest deck, and while I may be crap at the game I think the deck has some potential. Reno is pretty important though. Shadow forming means you have no way to heal and can be pretty detrimental if you don't manage to get your health up.
just now on my f2p na account - but reno-priest is unplayable without all important cards. -.-
I tested today. It does not. Nor does Finley drop the cost reduction. As opposed to changing the hero power itself, it changes the act of using a hero power to cost 0.
Wow, thx so much man... This information means me a lot!
Great info!
It is worded in a way that reduces the action of using your hero power to 0, not your current hero power to 0. So, any changes to hero power (through Sir Finley Mrrgglton, Shadowform, or Justicar Trueheart) will not change the cost back to 2. Beware, however. Maiden of the Lake WILL set its cost to 1.
First pack I opened, got him. Have had a lot of fun playing around with him so far :D
Other than Nexus Champion Saarad, Kvaldir Raider, Kodo Raider and Confessor Paletress, I dont see any inspire benefits out of this.
Kodo Rider is the only one that curves out nicely after Raxa, but 6 mana + 0 cost hero power only gives 2 kodos (3/5) - it's quite weak unless you can somehow keep the first kodo alive.
Turn after that, you can play Paletress and hero power on turn 7, which is pretty strong- but you can sometimes end up with Nat Pagle or Millhouse Manastorm. Plus there are new legendaries in the new exapansion that are 1/1 (Pathces), 2/2 (warrior leg) and 2/3 (Shakru), so Paltress has been nerfed somewhat.
Raza into Justicaar gives a 4 point heal on turn 6, switching to 4 points damage on the next turn if you drop Auchenai. But then you have 3 mana... so the free hero power isnt so important.
Other than OTK combos (unlikely, in a Reno deck) the only other synergy I can see is a free hero power every turn to heal defensive minions and make Frost Giant cheaper.
I really dont think this card is as awesome as people think without a better pool of Inspire cards, especially at 6-8 mana.
You are forgetting about shadowform, which is why everyone loves this card. Free 3 damage every turn seems pretty good.
the murloc guy that change heropower i forgot the name
or at least majordomos or the lols
Brainfuck Moment
Mage discovered Raza the Chained from Kabal Courier. Mage play Coldarra Drake = Infinit Hero Power :D
don't think a mage can get a priest card from kabal courier, or am I wrong about this? A priest can however get the drake through thoughtsteal or mind vision? :p
The way that tri class discover cards work, is that you get one card from each class.
Ah! Thanks!

I'm not too hyped about the card. It sounds extremely strong. But if you think about.... Reno Decks never worked with priest and I don't see it will change. Warlock has the ability to cycle through his deck very fast. And mages (not seen anymore) were in minimum able to freeze the enemy minions and slow down the game like that until they got the right answer. Priests don't have something like that. So I don't see Reno decks become very popular and that would mean, the card isn't playable. Also priests have even now problems, to draw into the right answers with 2 card per deck.
The other reason is: If I think properly about how many rounds I as priest usually have, without 2 mana left for the hero power (after round 5), then there are round 6, 7, 8, 9 maybe und the turns I play 9 or 10 mana minions. The rest of the game I normally have 2 mana left. So the effective useful rounds are much less than most people think. And the fact that you can draw the card also extremely late in the game makes it less effective as well.
I'm verry curious about this card. But I really don't see it as strong as most other people here.
Right. Why do you need Reno when you have Flash Heal, etc.
