The poor man's loot hoarder
The "Buff Hoarder"
Why should we play this? We have a Loot Hoarder already...
Wow, I can't believe people are defending this card. This is worse than Purify. In 95% of instances this will die having done nothing except replace itself with a card in your opponent's hand. Big whoop. I am not going to leave this on the board to "rob" my opponent of card draw. They spent a card playing this silly card. What do I care if I draw them a replacement card at no cost to my board?
So I play mortal coil and we are back even.
Then I coin a 2 drop and I gained 1 mana tempo
Math time!
1-cost card- should be worth 4 "points".
0/2 body - 2 stats, *1/2 for 0 attack = 1 point. On the other hand, do note that your opponent doesn't want to kill it. For that reason, low health is actually a boon- probably cancels out the 0 attack penalty, for 2 points.
card draw - 4 points, *1/2 for deathrattle = 2 points
Total: 4 points
Well balanced.
I was about to say with your half off. Like man its good against aoe. Also I don't think deathrattle should cut something in half. For this card yes, but not every card. Like sludge belcher gained vale from it being a deathrattle
Yeah- there are certain times when clearly a deathrattle is not half off. A related consideration is that while a battlecry has immediate impact, deathrattle will make your board harder to get rid of (akin to divine shield). This is why it's generally better for low-cost cards to have deathrattles, and high-cost cards to have battlecries- battlecries are for comebacks, deathrattles are to prevent comebacks.
A fine card for zoo decks
I said it's fine, i agree it's not great, but if you have Dire Wolf Alpha or Abusive Sergeant in your hand, it can be pretty good. Also, you don't always get your good 1-drops at your starting hand, you do somtimes need card draw
No. Not with this trash card.
Zoo decks can ALWAYS use more card draw. Being able to cycle through your deck, grind away your opponent's hp, all the while your opponent clears away your minions is the main concept of zoo. That's the main reason Zoolock is such a big deal. Because they have a way to keep at least 2 cards in hand. Plus, this cards makes playing AoE against it have some punishment. Also, you can use it with Abusive or Dire Wolf to "crack" it yourself as well and get in more damage and sometimes take something down with it. It's not the greatest card out there but zoo can definitely make use of this card rather easily. A card like this that can get a bit of work done, discourage your opponent, or cycle itself is actually a really good thing for zoo.
This card could be better than Novice Engineer in Combo decks (especially Raging Worgen OTK Warriors. If ignored you could trade up with Cruel Taskmaster) since it costs 1 less, and absorbs 1 more damage (the attack on Novice Engineer usually does not matter since the opponent will either ping it or trade favorably, which means it kills nothing).
Wtf??? WHY
Abusive Sergeant Flametongue Totem Dire Wolf Alpha that's why.
I dont think it will make the cut jsut because of those cards.
drawing cards is overrated, esp with no body
omg lol
