A nerf to Moonglade Portal.
I'm curious, which minion would it summon on deathrattle, if itself was summoned from the portal? The battlecry would not have triggerd?
How is it a nerf when they're both being implemented at the same time?
A nerf is a change that reduces the effectiveness of something.
Come on brah...
Blizzard wants to balance HS so much that they nerfed their own cards straight in the expansion they made in.
Wow, scilencing or transforming this minion is super useful, and evolving is stupidly good (if you hit an enemy). It can also be used to save a low health minion of yours. It's a unique way to make your minion sticky, and it can heal it or remove debuff on the way. (quite anti tempo though)
"silencing this minion is super useful".
Can you explain why that is? I cannot think of any benefits of a "vanilla 3/3 6 mana creature", that you had to spend a card/mana on to silence, to begin with.
Also "it can heal it". How can it heal it? I can see how you could look at replacing a damaged creature with its original, undamaged self, as being healed, but if you destroy your own 6/6 at 6/3, you then have to wait until your moat lurker dies to get it back. Oh... but your opponent silenced your moat lurker, so you won't get it back. Nevermind, now I get why "silencing this minion is super useful".
Silencing it will destroy a minion (it's battlecry), and deny the enemy the chance to get that minion back.
It's an a 6 mana removal that leaves you with a 3/3 to boot. Priest can silence it for 0 mana. 2 if they want to draw a card. How is that not a good play?
Just use Shadow Word: Pain + Ragnaros the Firelord instead and you'll get way more value... That is, if your willing to play priest.
Let's say the artist knew this card is shit
My question is how does it interact with unearthed raptor, can we potentially have duplication of minions?
Hmmmm..... you're probably right. The Lurker DR becomes "Summon [Killed minion]" , raptor will summon it too I guess.
Question: if you use this to kill an enemy Sylvanas on an empty board, the Sylvanas steals your moat lurker, and then the moat lurker dies on your enemy's board, does the Sylvanas resummon on your side or the enemy's side?
With how the text is written, yes, he will.
Order of actions:
Moat lurker kills sylvanas when she was on the enemy's side, that information is kept with the ability in the deathrattle.
sylvanas trigger
Moat lurker switches to the other side, deathrattle unchanged.
He dies, deathrattle triggers: Resummon sylvanas to board X
I think he's not stole. Battlecry trigger before the minion actually be summoned, but idk if he's summoned before or after sylvana's deathrattle gets triggered.
Nice combo with transform effects, like Evolve, Master of Evolution andRecombobulator. Absolutely perfect for Evolve Shaman.
Seems safe to assume that you mean here: to transform this Moat Lurker because it has low stats for the 6-cost. Must be pointed out if it wasn't obvious that you could only viably destroy your enemy's minion because upon transforming you lose the deathrattle to resummon. So it gives you an Assassinate basically for free.
Pretty clever, a nice alternative use for it - don't know if it is ideal to have like deathrattles or even N'Zoth, the Corruptor in the deck so that you can use this card both ways - probably at least including the Sylvanas Windrunner will be a smart move... and often even one or two top tier deathrattle minions like Sylvanas Windrunner can be enough to make N'Zoth worthwhile.
Well, it's a poor card to revive with N'Zoth to be honest, and also Shaman doesn't have good deathrattle minions. But the biggest issue I see with that idea is that Evolve Shaman is a Midrange-Tempo oriented deck. N'Zoth decks are naturally control/attrition ones. To get to the point of getting value from N'zoth, you have to build the entire deck based around it, meaning having lots of single removals, AoE, taunts, heals, etc. So I can't see how you can combine a transform deck (which also need slot cards for their own stuff) with a N'zoth one.
Edit: Great for killing your own Sylvanas.
An interesting thing to note with this card, is that you can use this in N'zoth decks to summon a minion twice when you play N'Zoth, the Corruptor
Does the deathrattle effect work after being summoned by N'zoth
