But it can you target minions with it to heal? Seems like it would.
Think of Bolf Ramshield more like armor than a taunt minion. Bolf effectively provides you with 9 (or more armor if overkilled) and for 6-mana, which is not a great card on its own and is in fact as you described 'horrible.' But if played as an RNG result of Moonglade Portal it becomes 6-mana negate 15 (or more) damage from opponent. Not exactly my definition of a terrible result.
remember that you called bolf a terrible result when you're dying to a freeze mage.
Firelands Portal is a common Mage card.
This is a RARE DRUID card.
thx blizz
This is a rare lol
Warlock portal also leaked.
4 mana summon a 5 cost minion, discard 4 cards.
Auchenai Soulpriest OpieOP combo
Kappa
I looked at all of the six drops and tallied into three categories, Good, bad and Ok. This is not filtered for standard.
Good:21
Bad:13
Ok:28
Good=6/6 or better, and legendarys with neat effects
Bad= below 5/5
Ok=5/5
Before you reply I understand this combo requires a expensive card that doesn't have an immediate effect. Also, that these cards may be good by themselves but certainly are not guaranteed to be we will have to see how the rng works out in-game.
but
These portals with Medivh are pretty f****ing strong. 6 mana heal 6 summon two random 6 drops. 7 mana deal 5 dmg summon two random 7 drops. HOLY F**K GG!
You actually summon a 7 mana minion and a 5 mana minion with Firelands Portal if you have Atiesh equiped
This one is rare, while mage's one is a common. Wow.
Confirmed: Blizzard doesn't give a damn about Arena balance.
great card for ramp druid ........... now I can heal my heavy taunt minions and sometimes hero against aggro while ramping up ... Its a great card finally!!
MY FIRST REACTION! HAHAHAHA! It is a rare card because fuck all classes in Arena except Mage!
This could be cool in control Druid decks. It is not THAT good of a card and may see no play, but it could be good. Especially with ramp. If you ramp it the 6-drop will always be good. 6 is also one of the best mana cost. There are a lot of stupidly good cards you could get from this.
Yogg buff!
Hmmm, I would like a Holy Light with my Cairne, thanks. Overall I expect this to follow the Yogg principal: Random, but the usual result is good.
I see this card increasing winrate against hunter like 23042309%. :D
Am I the only one that doesn't think this is very good?
Mage card is, more often than not, 2-for-1. Sure, it costs 1 extra mana and gives you a minion of 1 less mana, but the value goes a long way. This card, on the other hand, is going to be worse than a lot of plain old 6 drops. Rather than getting the consistency of something great like Boulderfist/Sylvanas, you trade that consistency in order to heal for 6.
That's not enough healing when you can potentially end up with some pretty underwhelming minions as a result. If you're losing, the 6 heal probably isn't going to help - unless you can use it on a minion to get some value and thus gain some good board. If you're winning, you'd much rather a consistent card than a random 6 drop.
Saving grace may be some sort of deck that also involves Medivh - getting two 6 drops is a different story.
I think you're misunderstanding the value of the 6-mana minion.
Everything that isn't the 2/3 murloc is a threatening presence that the opponent with his (usually) tempo deck will be forced to reckon with. In a way, this card heals you for a lot more than 6, especially if you get a best-case scenario like Cairne Bloodhoof or Boulderfist Ogre.
I think you're underestimating the loss of consistency. When, at most, you might have 4 6 drops in a pretty slow midrange deck or control deck, you don't want to sub 2 of those out for a roll of the dice. The 6 health doesn't make up for it - does almost nothing in the current meta.
In a future meta it *might* be ok, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Pretty much the only thing it really has going for it is that druid doesn't have much better in the way specific standard class heals.
