Finally, the card Pirate Priest needed to get off the ground.

Wait are they adding Netherspite or is that Book Wyrm?
I reaaally love the design of this card, but it also makes me kinda sad that Acidic Swamp Ooze exists...
OMG!!!! THIS CARD IS SO COOL!!!!
So many awesome things combined into one.
A neutral weapon card!
A utility weapon card!
Summoning Stone!
More like this please!!!
Is it good? Is it bad? I DO NOT CARE IT IS REALLY REALLY AWESOME!!!
You have to put overpriced War Golem into your deck then play him for 8 mana(!) to get some tempo in next turns after you play him. You have to combo it with high cost spells which ones you have to keep in hand till turns 9+. Opponent has whole turn to response and it can be easliy destroyed in current warrior meta, but who cares about something like that.
the picture may not be close enough, but I REALLY want he's golden animation to just be his one eyebrow raising like in the trailer
It makes Savagery not suck as bad....
However....
It costs 8 mana >.>
none of your business!
The fact that we've finally got Atiesh into Hearthstone makes me happy.
The idea of putting a powerful effect on a weapon is quite interesting as weapons are harder to remove than minions so why not, it may pave the way for future weapons for Spellcasters.
I'm okay with this card, it doesn't feel broken or underwhelming. Maybe the artwork could have been a bit better, it really looks kind of meh for such a big Legendary.
What is Atiesh ability in this game, is it out yet? Sorry never play WOW
It's basically a cross between Summoning Stone and Sword of Justice because it has 1/3 in stats and every time you cast a spell with it equipped, summon a minion of equivalent mana cost and remove one of its durability. ;P

Man i don't care that this is neitral legendary, it will be in 99% of all mages decks.
I very much doubt that. Maybe for some freeze mage if he ever comes back. This can only be viable for some control classes which by design take game past turn 10. Control warrior actually seems best, since he is the only class with viable control decks right now, but he does not have many expensive spells. Priest however does have those so if he gets some viable control deck, this will be perfect for him.
The only deck this card could go into is yogg Druid due to its main focus being to get out minions and buff them so this might work well seeing as medivh costs 8 mana if you have a good enough field after you play him you could play Power of the wild and get another 3/2 or 2/3 which would become a 4/3 or a 3/4 .... or doomsayer which would be really depressing. Or still play it without a strong field and get a 8/8 body along with the 4/3 or 3/4. Another possibility is that the turn afterwards you play wisps of the old gods and get the average 7 cost minion. This card will definitely be experimented with in the beginning, but I find it highly unlikely for it to become staple since summoning stone isn't being played
"Can you give me a clue what kind of deck your secret legendary card will work in?
Well ...he goes in my Priest deck and my Mage deck." - Mike Donais on PCGAMER
Well... Im asking how it fits priest deck. Without any jokes about Mind Control...
Easily. Priest has more spells than mage. Druid has the same amount but most of druid spells don't cost that much.
The problem for priest remains the same. Really good late game but he doesn't survive before it.
This combo may help bring Twisting Nether from the depths of hell where it resides currently.
Why is Ashbringer legendary and Atiesh isn't?
