FACE PLAY TAUNT! FACE CHEAT!!!
Stop playing boring decks, that is totally a personal choice you made dude. I play decks I made all the time, I don't get past 10 usually and it takes a lot of tweaking and thought, but I think it is more fun then net decking most the time, though I do that too when I want.
Control decks are not op.
This card helps control against other control in fatigue matches does almost nothing to help against aggro.
The top decks right now are.
1. Dragon Warrior - Aggro
2. Aggro Shaman - Control....no wait, it is Aggro
3. Token Druid - Aggro
4. Zoolock - Aggro
5. Mid-Range Shaman - Mid Range, not control, Mid Range
according to Tempo Storm, the people who do this as the thing they do, there are 0 op tier control decks right now. ZERO!
Yeah control Priest, mill Rogue, Handlock and fatigue Warrior are so OP we need better Shaman, Zoo, Hunter and aggro Warrior cards. We need 2 mana 7/7s for those 3 classes. Then the meta would be soo much more fun! /s
Seriously have you even played the game?
Theory Craft.
C'Thun Druid
Pros: One of the issues with C'Thun is that it relies too much on one big minion. Some have added Rag or Sylvannas to help this, but can't add more because there is little room after C'Thun acolytes, clears, draw, and good Druid cards. This can add 5 additional threats/utility to your C'thun deck.
Cons: Possibly Inconsistent. You could also get bad legendaries but we have used Elise enough to know if you get 5 legendaries one or two are going to be pretty good. It also puts your C'Thun further down your deck, so you may want more draw if you add this card, but if you add this card you may have more space to run more draw.
Is it good enough? Will it consistently add strong threats to make C'Thun Druid less reliant on one card?
Dr 5 has arrived :P
so what happens when he summons himself?
Yo dog I heard you like legendaries...
his effect only happens when the game starts. After the game starts his effect activates so he wouldn't be to do the effect more than once most likely.
I know, just wanted to make the joke
I hate this card dude! Makes fatigue decks completely pointless and unviable. You get a "wacky" and fun effect from playing this card, but this card can only be played in really boring decks like old control warrior/priest. You need a deck with a lot of cycle and removal to make this card viable, which takes away a lot of card slots that you could be using for more fun strats. And the benefit you get from running this is gigantic so it will be very played, even more so than the golden monkey. It has bogus stats too, so theres no reason to not put it in your control deck. This expansion was looking very promising, but nope, they have to ruin it again with 1 single card just like they did with Dr. Boom , Emperor Thaurissan , and Mysterious Challenger.
Literally all this card does to the game is removing yet another deck archetype completely: (mill/fatigue). Just like how they completely removed value/discover decks from the game in Old Gods.
oh yeah and 50% of the entire ladder will be playing reno lock again zzzz
Not really, 1 of all not every deck will have space to run it and also not every legendary is good, to complete that helps mill rougue to have more card in the deck and don't die of fatigue. also fatigue great in fatigue warrior. besides that it will be a great card for handlock :D
Also, you might get unlucky and get 2 of one legendary in your deck... or 3-4 and produce a trolden clip.
Fatigue deck just have to run this if control decks are actually running it. Like what I mean is, this doesn't destroy the win condition of winning by fatigue. Fatigue deck are already low tier decks, but it is fun to play them and there is still a possibility to climb with it if you have enough time to play a hundreds of games in a season, the dedication to do it and the knowledge of this game. Plus, having a larger card pool might allow Fatigue deck to run draw if the control decks decide to not run this for consistency.
This card will not be everywhere unless Control decks are everywhere, and that is probably not going to happen. Which is why fatigue is not viable. Fatigue is not viable because every time you que into an aggro deck, which is more then half the decks on ladder and you play cold light oracle they cum a little...who am I kidding? They cum a lot!
What region are you playing in that 50% of the ladder was Renolock and how do I get to there? That sounds why more interesting the slog of Aggro Warrior, Aggro Shaman, and Aggro Warlock that I am wading through.
I disagree with most of what you said
First of all, Emperor Thaurissan did NOT ruin the game. I think it's a great card that opened a whole bunch of opportunities.
Also, this card may also break the actual boring type of decks, the aggro ones that are currently ruling ladder.
So far this expansion gives me hope that Hearthstone may be a slower and more fun game after all.
yeah...no game prevents that.
League of explorers was the pinnacle of wild mode cards with the most aggressive cards all being available and unnerfed, and golden monkey warrior, golden monkey priest, reno lock, and freeze mage were more than half of the ladder. I remember that Id go against reno lock literally every other game and it made me hate my life. All of which were control decks, for the people that whine over and over again that "aggro decks always beat control decks" and "omg priest so bad" which is the new flavor of the month spam because Kripparian said so even though he plays constructed maybe for 2 hours a week. Control warrior/priest have and always will hard counter aggro decks. If you don't believe me, try playing them and you're more happy when you Q into zoo warlock or face shaman than you are when you Q into slower decks.
To the people that think you can actually run this in a fatigue/mill deck to counter it in other decks, you can't because you're the reactive player in those matchups and your win condition has nothing to do with playing legendaries. You're the one that needs to be drawing removal cards all game and board clears and you win those games once your opponent has a dead turn. When you're playing the "mill matchups" - aka slow control decks, or the decks that would be playing the prince, if your opponent gets the 5 legendaries, on top of rag and ysera which they will probably be running as well (because every freaking deck that isn't designed to kill them before turn 7 runs rag), you're not going to have enough removal to deal with all of his threats so you los
that card will only give you legendaries you don't have in your deck. Just watch Firebat talking about it
What happens if Prince Malchezaar creates another Prince Malchezaar? o.O
probably just have another 5/6 for 5 demon
Nothing, see "when the game starts" text.
