Moroes dies easily and cost 3 dude! he just summon a 1/1 Steward THAT DONT DO NOTHING!
I still don't regret disenchanting him
What abour now (The Caverns Below)
He should be 1/2 and summon 2/1. Or at least just be 1/2. Or stewards should have an ability to give him +1 health while they live.
Should I disenchant this card?
No, you should not disenchant Moroes because this card is strong and has a niche. Besides, I don't think Blizzard gives you the opportunity to disenchant this card until 2 more years-ish when it leaves standard.
This card is strong with nothing else needed because Moroes is the equivalent of gaining another paladin hero power every turn for the one more mana than using your hero power one time! No wonder people think its worth using an AOE spell! In addition to constructed this card is slow moving yet very powerful in various tavern brawls like this one where every minion is reduced to a 1 mana 1/1 minion.
Moroes is very strong in paladin decks. Don't swing with Moroes just let him sit there stealthed giving you an army of disposable butlers that fight for board control and smart trading. Plus this card is going to get another option of getting buffed through the MSG expansion cards that buff cards in hand for +1/1, though I still like divine shield method currently which uses Steward of Darkshire. Though I am afraid every Priest will carry around a solution to this card with no real expense to their deck coming MSG, just part of their "kill all small minions" plan while healing face.
Sure you can counter this card but 1. Do you have the right spell in hand? 2. Do you have the mana for that spell? 3. Can your deck deal with the rest of my deck? Because this is just one of my cards.
Thanks for joining the conversation 3 months later. The meta has moved away from paladins which is a great buffing class. Moroes [/card] allowed for good trades and essentially acted like a free version of [card]Justicar Trueheart. Unfortunately, now a days the board is constantly getting tossed. Egg paladins are not really strong in this meta with pirates aggro, reno-lock decks, jade control and shaman dominance. You are correct in saying that Moroes does not have a place in this current meta.
I used to substitute Moroes into this deck:

Moroescould still be useful in select tavern brawls but not too many.
Way to slow in current meta IMO. Even if the meta changes, any non targeting multi damage/whirlwind effect will rape it. Maybe make it a 1/2? Might become OP at the same time.
how to make Moroes better ? give the stewards the ability to give Moroes +1 health at the start of your next turn, this way it's like you get a 1/1 taunt from him, also Moroes won't be dying from every board clear in the game that easely
I enjoy him in token Druid, especially if I can get two turns off with him.
Moroes, basic Stormwind Champion, Frostwolf Warlord, Steward of Darkshire
Moroes got a magma rager award... I think the community underestimated this card's worth. Though I believe this card has already fallen out of the meta with the arcane giant decks... This card can add a lot of pressure on the board but is weak against any non targeting cards like arcane missiles, Twilight Flamecaller, or Whirlwind. I predict that there will be a Moroes' second coming. I believe that by extension this card added value to the jeweled scarab. Moroes might be good in a barnes deck.
I love this card so much.
3 mana gain 400 dust
lol the community voted this to be the 2nd worst card of the set? you are out of your mind!
Why does Moroes have stealth? Because he's trying to hide the value sleeping within him. In constructed he's decent because, against control, they'd likely have to burn an AoE to kill him and aggro usually doesn't run AoE so they will rarely have a way to kill him. In arena where AoE is very rare he can generate infinite value which is a HUGE upside.
A 1/1 Steward may not seem much, but remember that that 1 damage stacks, can be buffed, can remove divine shield, and can produce a lot of synergy. Moroes is worth experimenting with and is lovely little annoyance for any opponent and WILL become a rather big threat if left unchecked.
