Ironically, unless you're playing a bursty face Shaman, this is a nerf to Evolve.

Just in case the twighlight and midnight drakes were bad enough

 Or defender of argus. Or mini mage. To tell the truth, 4 is a pretty shit number for evolve.

Horrible stats for the cost, but understandable given the damage potential that extra spell damage can give you. Not worth it IMO.

Evolved Kobold + 2 x Sorcerer's Apprentice + 2 x Frostbolt + 2 x Ice Lance + 2 x Arcane Missiles + Fireball
-> 40 damage for 10 mana

And 10 cards, good luck 4Head

Change arcane missiles for arcane blast and it is even better!

You could already do that with Ancient Mage though :V

True, but sometimes he forgets things.

Thaurissan into 2x Kobold (6 mana, +4), 2x frostbolt (2 mana, 14 damage), 2x ice lance (0 mana, 18 damage),  for 8 mana, 6 cards, 32 damage.

This, plus flexibility with your 5 +1 damage 2-drops, clears with arcane explosions and blasts, fireballs, missiles, and shit like that, all add up to: why don't you own thaurissan?

Frigid Snobold is better than this, and Snobold is trash.

In a deck that uses a lot of burst this is way better than snobold because it will be played purely for the spell damage, not the stats.

Archmage feels bad that a kobold can do more spell damage than him.

Well, he better be glad that there's no purple tentacles sprouting out of his ass/back.

This is underwhelming. A normal Kobald is 2/2 with +1 dmg, so we are paying double the mana for the same stats and an extra +1 spell damage? It's like Blizzard isn't even trying.

This is why you don't give rare candy to a Kobold Geomancer. He sucks when evolved.

With casino mage being an idea due to yogg sauron, this could see play as any spell damage more than one can make those cheap spells deadly. (This guy plus frost bolt x2 + 2x ice lance in one turn is 18 damage?) Lots of damage potential with this guy without the discount.
