you may be right, you know... forbidden shaping for 8 mana is rather insane so they gotta add some risk to that spell..
they already have that risk with boogeymonster and doomcaller :(
boogeymonster is a bad one but not a horrible one, doomcaller isnt ruining u either
The thing that bothers me about this card isn't that it's bad (it is), but why did they make this the Mage legendary? Is it because he's made of arcane? I really don't see a reason he can't be Neutral. Now forgive me if I'm wrong, my WoW knowledge is entirely based on wiki's and video watching, but even I know that they could've chose a better character.
I personally think Kael'thas Sunstrider or Jandice Barov would've been a better choice.
Anomalus just was a huge arcane abomination that wandered a magically destabilized part of the Nexus until he was killed by a group of 5 Questing Adventurers. He has no more lore. They might aswel have put some random mage/cultist and it would have had more sense as a mage legendary than this piece of arcane crap.
It makes more sense for it to be a mage card than any other class ofc it is an arcane monster, though I don't see any reason why it can't be a neutral card honestly it doesn't have THAT much connection to the mage class.
Kael'thas is a future Mage skin.
I got it from Forbidden Shaping one time then summoned it from N'Zoth. You can probably guess what happened next...
I guess I don't really understand the usage for this card. I just feel like there isn't a situation where you haven't already lost the game where you're playing this card for board clear when you could [Doomsayer] + [Frost Nova] for 3 less mana and a nearly guaranteed clear.
At the same time, you could look at it as 8 damage to your opponent's face every turn if they have board control and don't want to kill the card but otherwise I don't really know.
Finally got a legendary from Old Gods.. golden too.. but it had to be Anomalus..

This guy would actually be so crazy if he had Battlecry: Deal 8 Damage to all other minions. But like that, you're either dead until your next turn or he gets a silence, hex or some shit like that. Against Aggro the effect is great but it's too slow to play him on turn 8, against control it doesn't do much.
