It probably loses the Unstable Portal -3 Cost Buff since its transformed. Like how Gnomish Experimenter causes a card to lose the effect of The Mistcaller when its transformed into a chicken.
Or In ReNGlish it means transform it into a random legendary minion
if only it said transform into a random minion that costs 1 more
"FEAR ME, COWARDS!"
"D'awwww!"
"STOP HUGGING ME! I AM DEATH INCARNATE!"
I wonder if an Emperor Thaurissan discount would carry over.
Same for Unstable Portal
Very excited to run him in a deck of legends.
Incoming brawl. Every card in your deck is Shifter Zerus
That could be accomplished without Shifter Zerus.
The art looks powerful... But the minion itself... Maybe? Interesting card :)
i think this card is actually pretty bad, yes i'm sure i'm eventually gonna see this in videos where it turns into the perfect minion for the situation. but, like the value of unstable portal is that the minion that comes out is 3 mana less and it's spell synergy. this gives you none of that. like why play a random minion in your deck when you can simply put out in your deck that fits in your deck from the get go instead of letting rng dictate your fate. bad card, if i get this and want to craft something, this is near the top to be dusted
a) try and have a heart; random cards are fun when balanced. and b) very hard to put in a second legendary in a deck. c) it can help you pull of crazy combos between classes sometimes. and d) its the poor mans legendary; if you can make ne and only play standard; make this. might be good. obviously ist not "a random legendary" but.. poor men can dream. have a heart. look at that card and tell him he's useless. we know whos the REAL MONSTER
Yes but unlike Unstable Portal your not stuck with what you got and you dont have to pay the 2 mana upfront you simply hold it untill you need it which is why most people suggested it to be a fatigue/control deck card you dont get the spell synergy but you get the added value that it doesnt matter what kind of deck your up against theres a chance this little guy will turn into something good against that specific deck or something you cant include in your deck like a class minion from a different class that may have some insane impact on the board like a control warrior or priest getting Lord Jaraxxus for example.
when i did look at this card the only type of deck i saw that this might be good in would be a fatigue/control deck, because yeah you usually of have the option of having plenty of turns and waiting to to play this until it gives you an Alexstraza or Tirion or something. but still, why would you wanna play this instead of Ysera or Shieldmaiden or Bash. why let rng dictate your cards, especially if you're playing a control/fatigue deck, it usually includes an Elise Starseeker. isn't that already enough rng? isn't that a better way to a get a Lord Jaraxxus, because its more consistent? idk, personally i hate rng, i guess that's why i never play tempo mage
turn 9 deathwing, turn 10 wisp
Turn 5 Sylvanas, turn 6 Dr. Boom, turn 7 Ragnaros, turn 8 Ysera.
This is what you get when you combine Unstable Portal with a Wisp.
What if you played this as Rogue, and when it turns into a legendary you want, you silence it, then Shadowstep it.
Would it be the Legendary Minion or still Shifter Zerus?
I can see myself playing Paletress. First turn Sir Finley, second turn this
And the award for most flexible card goes to...
